This is the best we have played sinced 2004...and indeed one can argue we are better as we are playing "complete" football..superb in both our defensive and offensive games.
What has many excited, including me, is not so much that we are winning...but HOW we are playing. The pressure, the running, the backing up, the intensity, the TEAM play, the decisiveness (indecison and hesitation often costing us dear in 07 and 08), the hunger, the passion, the grunt....it all seems to be there.
But also like may Saints there is that fear that it may not be sustained.
However as many have said..it is only Round 3...and our opponents middling (though Swans and Crows did make the 8 last year).
After 7 rounds in most years you havae reasonable idea of how moost teams are travelling.
In Round 5 we play our main Bogey team in Port at AAMI.
In Round 6 we play the Dogs who currently look ro be Top 4 Bound.
And then in Round 7 we play the Pies...who could finish anywhere from 8th to 4th.
So after 7 rounds we should have a much clearer idea of how we are travelling...and whether we are sustaining our improvement.
However the signs are good.....with a number of players outside of the 22 pushing strongly for promotion...with those inside of it eager to not give up their spot.
