Note; ABC commentators don't know all the players yet
Eljay was on the boundary and they called Stanley-who had left the area.

miles needs to work on his kicking, kicked one out on the full, and that resulted in a 50m penalty and goal, and almost kicked another one....lynchy kicked one on the run from outside 50m, bounced through (reminiscent of jeff fenich)
begley been very good down back, rob eddy out (emerg), x clarke playing well, ran down a frankston player and ran back with the flight, armo took a set shot from outside 50m against the breeze and almost kicked it on the full, goose playing like goose, crashing packs, terrible disposal

goose has started very well. Seems to have good awareness and teamed up with begley.
fish is struggling, just doesn't have the pace to push for higher honours
x has improved as the quarter has gone on.
lynch doing some nice things of the wings, wonderful goal.
heyne needs to remember that simple hit ups are much more effective then the dinky little kicks around the corner. Still he knows where the ball is
LJ is in among it.
howard is getting a little but butchers it. Is looking further and further away IMO
anyway still first quarter but they need another forward....
as I speak sandy kicks a goal, average game so far outside of the first 5 minutes by frankston.

X started well, and goose has been pretty solid. Apart from that not much of note. Begley gets a bit of it but is as sloppy as...has a few mates, the skill and game level is terrible. Get a better game in the NTFL

How tall is Frankston's Ruckman? Whealan?
Ben and Rys aren't small but he towers over his teammates.

Haven't been watching closely but that shot for goal was woeful.

If this game is any indication then Casey must have been absolutely shocking last week.
Saints players so far:-
Begley by far our best
X shows class when he gets the bal - but is not in teh play much
Armo has been hardly sighted
Lynch is doing ok with limited opportunities
Heyne has done a few nice things, also from limited opportunities
Fisher's best work was accidentally knocking out an opponent
Howard - terrible disposal
Big Mac - getting towelled by Milton the Monster at the bounces but doing ok around the ground
Goose is struggling to come to terms with VFL rules (kicking backwards)
Stanley - haven't seen him much
Miles - not doing much
Who've I missed?
Big Mac just took a strong mark and is lining up - hands off to Miles -goal
Now 1 point behind

Very disappointing first half by the saints boys....
X was OK but not as influential as he would like
McEvoy was pretty good around the ground....not getting hands on it in the ruck - the Dolphins Ruck 207cm...huge
Fisher could not play any worse
Armitage poor
Heyne - not a fan
Lynch worked OK but untidy at times
Stanley promising
Howie doing a job on Berry
Magiure OK...needs to feel opponents, hangs onto the ball half a second too long
Eljay not really sighted, a couple of things
Begley has won a lot of footy
Miles better second quarter

Goose has been pretty good I reckon. Moving well.
Begley has had a heap of it
X has been ok without dominating
Mcevoy is not ready for AFL, but he shows signs that he'll have a bit about him in 2 years time
Lynch looks like he'll be ok with time
Armo- Not doing anywhere near enough.
Realistically,if we get out usual run of injuries we don't have much to come in at all.
Bring back the Lockett era

Sandy down by 5 points at half time
5 - 4 - 34
to Frankston
6 - 3 - 39
Big Mac getting more of the ball around the ground.
X doing really well when he gets into the game, but not getting into it enough.
Goose got better as the game went on
Begley still our best (Saints players - IMO)
Howard gets the ball a lot but turns it over or butchers it too much
Lynch is going to be good I think
Heyne shows glimpses of being something special

Heyne reminds me a lot of Justin Sweeney.....has obvious talent....does clever things.....but does NOT do the hard things.....
Loves the highlights.....not the work.
I do not rate him...and understand the reason such a talent was overlooked 46 times....

X is getting better and better as the game goes on. Looks ready for AFL.
McEvoy is marking well, and running hard to provide an option to kick to....and is only going to get better as he learns the art of rucwork. Should be ready to come on-line when King and gardi are past it...and useful asa back up now if injured.
Goose is looking good. Looks fit enough now....just needs more match time.
Lynch is very impressive...knows when and where to run. Just needs to finish off better with his kicking.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
