Merrett and Patfull out

Post: # 741817Post B W and R all over »

Big news for us. Their two best key defenders at the moment both ruled out.
And Selwood still won't be back.

VERY good news!! Although, it would be hoped that we could win with them both in the team! They're still a very big test!

They have an underated defence and that's why this is good news for us, although I conquer with thirty-seven's sentiments.

I guess that's more acceptable than conquering by force. Do you agree with 37 as well?

I always like to see a real contest, to meet teams with their best 22, with perhaps only their top 10 out. Well, at least I'm honest!

Well, with those guys out it should be an easy win, shouldn't it? Famous last words, I know. But Adelaide v Brisbane last weekend was a battle to see who could play the most ordinary...appalling skills, tons of turn-overs, just a really lame effort by everyone except Brown, Bradshaw, Power and Sherman (possibly Brennan and Clark). You'd think it'd take more than 4 guys to drag the Lions over the line this weekend.

As for matchups on Brown and Bradshaw, with our ruck division, how would they get their hands on the ball unless the moved to defense?

Bad news for us, I want to see us against the better teams and under difficult circumstances......not with 'soft wins' or lose because we let our guard down because of other teams injuries.....

Like to see Kosi and Rooey against quality.....

and cracks not covered...

DCstkfc, I think true Believer is suggesting you might have meant to "concur" and that you might follow the usual method of using words for one through to ten , and numerals for 11 and above

Dunno, depends how we win, IF we win. Not many sides that havent gone into a game undermaned , even to a minor degree. A win would not be devalued at al in my opinon.

i don't get the logic

a win = another 4 pts and a step closer to hosting a home prelim

we let it slip in 2004, i want it now... couldn't careless if we play the lion's reserves

I'd be happy if every other side in the comp contracted swine flu and got there entire list wiped out and had to fill it with rookies for the remainder of the season.

Just give us the flag already so I can commence my life!

Jeez, they'll be missing their FB, CHB, two ruckman and two starting mids, if we can't win this one comfortably then the wheels might start wobbling a bit...
