Most Brownlow Votes to Rd 9 ? !!
Who would have the most Brownlow Votes up to Rd 9?
My guess is that it would be pretty close between DalSanto & Montagna (9-10), with Riewoldt & Hayes (6-7) not too far behind !!

our player of the year voting would be a fairly good guide and i think the guys you mentioned are quite prominent in that.

Unfortuntely Gablett has more votes so far than anyone despite missing 2 games.
Hopefully his groin will not hold up and he will be reduced to Luke Ball's standard by round 14.

5 prelims in 7 years. 40 wins from 49 games.
2009 and 2010 were 2 of the 5 best years ever by the St.Kilda FC.
Thanks for all your efforts Saints.

votes per game over their career (to 2009):
riewoldt: 0.456
dal santo: 0.444
hayes: 0.333
ball: 0.246
montagna: 0.235
koschitzke: 0.168
gram: 0.156
goddard: 0.133
milne: 0.133
s fisher: 0.052
hudghton: 0.031
baker: 0.026
so as always, it's the midfielders medal, though riewoldt polls very well when he has good games.

i have a feeling he might shout at the umpires a bit too much to get votes any time that he doesn't completely dominate. i wish he was forcing them to give him votes more often.MC Gusto wrote:i reckon bj might have a few!!
at least i hope he does. probably has 3 votes v dogs. potentially 2/3 vs west coast when he booted the 4 goals. trying to think but as i recall he has had at least one more 2 vote game

Well I may have been a bit harsh on him however all the games that he has performed in have shown a massive spread of players to give votes too. Despite what people may think, Carlton is a team that year that will steal votes off each other.StPeter wrote:No Judd??????
Umpires love him!
Anyway, hes how I've polled all the Saints games so far this year.
R1 vs Sydney. 3: Nick Dal Santo (STK), 2: Brendan Goddard (STK), 1: Craig Bird (SYD)
R2 vs Adelaide. 3: Nick Dal Santo (STK), 2: Sam Fisher (STK), 1: Tyson Edwards (ADEL)
R3 vs West Coast. 3: Leigh Montagna (STK), 2: Brendan Goddard (STK), 1: Nick Dal Santo (STK)
R4 vs Fremantle. 3: Nick Dal Santo (STK), 2: Leigh Montagna (STK), Nick Riewoldt (STK)
R5 vs Port Adelaide. 3: Lenny Hayes (STK), 2: Jason Gram (STK), Nick Riewoldt (STK)
R6 vs Western Bulldogs. 3: Brendan Goddard (STK), 2: Farren Ray (STK), 1: Lenny Hayes (STK)
R7 vs Collingwood. 3: Nick Dal Santo (STK), 2: Leigh Montagna (STK), 1: Brendan Goddard (STK)
R8 vs Essendon. 3: Lenny Hayes (STK), 2: Jobe Watson (ESS), 1: Leigh Montagna (STK)
R9 vs Brisbane. 3: Leigh Montagna (STK), 2: Simon Black (BRIS), 1: Lenny Hayes (STK)
Bear in mind there has been a massive spread of possibilities so don't take this as gospel at all.

He certainly does. However given Gabletts pace to get to 17 by Round 9 without playing 2 games it will take a small miracle for him NOT to win the brownlow the way he is playing at the moment.bigcarl wrote:so dal needs to extract the digit to keep pace with ablettNattens wrote:I've been keeping a running tally of my brownlow predictions and the top 5 are.......

=5. Paul Chapman (10)
=5. Paul Hasleby (10)
I hope u r right but that means out of a possible 54 votes, we have received 48 votes.Nattens wrote:Well I may have been a bit harsh on him however all the games that he has performed in have shown a massive spread of players to give votes too. No stevie J???
No Leon Davis???
in my opioin so far the leaderboard would be:
Stevie J
Davis
Ablett
Dal Santo
Judd
Will Ablett to win it, Although i doubt he is going aswell as some people think, they seem to be forgetting the outstanding efforts from players like chapman, Selwood, Stevie J, Bartel...In fact...im changing my mind...Davis will win

i haven't got any figures to prove it, but i imagine the winning team usually averages 4 or 5 out of 6 possible votes for the game. 48/54 = 5.3/6, so that's at the high end of the scale, but some of our wins have been pretty comprehensive. possible if unlikely.Batnoe wrote:I hope u r right but that means out of a possible 54 votes, we have received 48 votes.
