Yes he will.....but it may be for Sandy. Will depend on the selection committee Thursday night. His knee is fine though.

If he is back this week it will not be for Sandy. Only out 2 weeks so straight back.

Yeah Milne is definitly straight back into the side. He has the ability to do things that no one else on our list can do, or produce consistantly.

Report was that both Milne and Gilbo could have played this week...with injections...but club chose to "rest' both instead.

So one would imagine that both will be playing next week......and against the Blues.

Both are automatic ins.

They were his words, not my speculation.

Still the best small forward in the game.
When opposition small forwards see him play they get indigestion.

it may be Milney has been told-as the whole team may have or would hopefully be aware of- the team is going well- once your out you WAIT your turn to get back in... and then grab it with both hands - :D

Sandy/ Zebras ( as Eastern has pointed out-) do not play again till the 21st June- -between games given they had the bye this weekendm, there will be few players who don't get much game time before the Richmond then Geelong games.

BTW the next Zebras game is the Bye weekend in the AFL- soa fter you've spent up big at the memorabilia auction at Moorabbin- head to Box Hill

we can win games without him and gilbert, but my gut feeling is that if they are both 100 per cent fit they will play.

both are in our best 22.

if the injuries are a little longer-term than a couple of weeks, then a game at sandy might be called for.

Milbe is a gun top 10m player he comes straight back in dont worry about that. I say rest him though he obviously has a strained midial ligament they need 2-3 weeks he will be fine as long as they rest him. bring him back for richmond after the break.

We missed Yapper badly on the weekend, but I hope they don't rush him back. If 2 more weeks off (with the split round meaning we don't play next week) helps his knee considerably, then I hope they leave him out. We want him cherry ripe for later in the year.
Many are tipping Sammy Gilbert for All Aussie selection, so it's fair to say he's automatically in.

I think what the team have been told is that you do not get an automatic place in the team based on past reputation.

Our best players will still come straight back in as long as they have not been out for long & were not dropped (ie were out for suspension or injury). ie are fit and in form and our adhering to TEAM rules and values.

ie
* Max was out for ages and had to gain match fitness and form.
* Ben got dropped as soon as the main rucks were available.

Milne's "reputation" in 2009 is outanding and merits selection ASAP.
Ditto for Gardi and Gilbert.

Whereas Goose has to get back to AFL form which he has not quite shown yet, though is getting closer.

With Kosi flying for his marks with so much confidence, he's dragging 2 and 3 opposition defenders into the air with him. This makes Milne even more dangerous as there are more crumbs than ever now. He's almost as important to our Fwd line as Rooey and Kosi I reckon. In the last 18 months he has improved his game out of sight and MUST come back in if available. He is our igniter

far too good to leave out if he's fit. it would have been significantly harder to win the brisbane game without him.

but if there's any doubt (as this week, apparently) he may as well have another week off. let's not overdo it.
