FOOTY fans might love to hate them, but now they can collect a set of umpire collector cards.
The AFL Umpires Association has released its own series of 72 cards featuring field, goal and boundary umpires in match day action shots.
And, as a bonus, there are three Grand Final legend cards. The set, available through the AFLUA website, sells for $50.
A description of each umpire, with occupation, age and achievements, is on the back of each card.

I like this article a lot.
A lot of good points he makes about how we've imprved and the point about the contested ball in the finals is another good one. the reason geelong are so good is because they are so good at getting the uncontested possession - if we can force a contest more often, I'd fancy ourselves.
I'm hoping we can prove ourselves in the finals this year and show we DESERVE to be there - surely their inept performances in the 2008 finals series will be playing on their minds and they seem to have matured so much sinvce then - I guess only time will tell.
