Guess at this weeks ins and outs

Post: # 762922Post plugger66 »

I can see three scenarios this week.

No Change which I think will happen

Out Big Ben
In Jimmy

Out Geary
In Jimmy or Steven

I have a weird feeling Maguire MAY get a game but I'm not sure there's a formula that allows it to happen.

Maybe Blake gets shunted.

I think Gwilt is a chance for forward structural balance. Unlike many I thought we missed him against Carlton. Maybe Geary shifts out.

But that's all pie in the sky.

Realistically I think no change unless there's some injury that we don't know about.

My guess would be no change, but possibly Goose or Gwilt for McEvoy. I also wouldn't mind seeing another ground level defender come in.

Extended Bench: Maguire, R Clarke, Steven

1 change - McEvoy out, Maguire in

Look for Blake or Maguire to back up Gardiner in Ruck.

Just opinion. Sorry, I should have made that a little clearer.

Love too see Steven get a gig. Would be great to find something extra in the running department. He's also been sitting on my bench all year on SC and i need him to rise in price before i can offload him

Well that means one change then.

Who did your source say was in...Is it Jimmy or Steven?

Or was it that they said that Ben or Geary was out?

Havent got a source. I actually think there may be no change but I reckon the ins tonight will be Jimmy, Steven and Eddy. By the way havent got one of these right this year so I am due.

This is an ideal game to give Goose a game, Richmond's rucks are pretty average...

Maguire to backup ruck with Blake, with the other going down back?

If there is to be any change, I say give the Goose a go.

Maguire clearly isnt going to ruck. He hasnt for at least 5 years even in the reserves so why would he now. He is far to short and doesnt have a great leap. If they go with one ruckman it will be Blake as back up and we would only do that as we have enough talls in the backline as it is without adding Goose. If he plays and IMO he will not it would have to be as the lead up forward. A role that I dont think he is capable of doing a the moment.

agreed. i'd love to see goose in but just cannot find a place structually. I think it might be time to give geary a spell but replacing him with goose would leave us top heavy

can't comprehend why you'd want to drop McEvoy. Sure he's not quite ready but we can't afford to play one aging ruckman against a team with 3 recognised ones (Graham, Pattinson, Vickery and Simmonds a chance to return).

why take out a mid field rotation person and put another defence person in.

Watched him plenty of times, and your right he would be stiff to be dropped but so was Gwilt and he still went.
It would be a good game to get a look a a kid like Steven, and unfortunately IMO Mini will be the one to make way for him.
