Hypothetical - GT

Post: # 775335Post markp »

If Lyon came down with Lyme disease or a nasty case of the Vapours, and GT put his hand up, could he steer us to glory from here?

I agree

Lance or James??

There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

I can only imagine some of the posts on here if Grant lands himself one of the other coaching jobs on offer....

He would need to do more than put his hand up. He would need to utilise a broader range of physical expression to clarify his message.

Could GT coach?

No!

This is Ross Lyon's team

Outs- Gardiner, McEvoy, Jones, Eddy, Mcqualter, Dawson (ruckmen and rookie list)

In- Maguire, Connors, Howard, Call Fiora up...

This guys views are too warped for the St.kilda club. He did well while he was there, but no ruckmen and not implementing the right off field stuff made him terrible

Grant Thomas couldn't coach an AFL team now. He was a very good coach in the 2002-2007 era, but not now.

It's changed, and he would struggle.

If RL got a bellyache and couldn't coach, I think sidekick Leigh Tudor would be the man..I think he is a dark horse for a senior coaching spot sometime in the future -knows his stuff.

A silly question

Possibly GT could coach us to the flag - if Lyon has done a good enough job drilling his theory into the team. But it aint gunna happen so why bother asking.

GT's side if he continued to coach:

B: L. Fisher - Hudghton - Ferguson
HB: Gram - Maguire - S. Fisher
C: Fiora - Hayes - Dal Santo
HF: Gwilt - Riewoldt - Sweeny
F: Montagna - Goddard - X. Clarke
R: Koschitzke - Ball - Baker
INT: Rix - Blake - R. Clarke - (Poorly Developed) McQualter

It's what the moron was working towards either way - you sure about this?

My god after a look at this it's amazing to think how Lyon and co. turned the list around - so much quality they've recruited that's missing here - so much junk they cut loose that is still clogging this side.

He'd have to be "exited in" first.

Geezuz man - let it go ....move on.

What is the point of such a post ? Why not ask the same question about Stan Alves, Ken Sheldon - what about Blighty or The Doc ?.. it aint gonna happen.

and why wouldn't one of the assistants take the job?

And no he couldn't I am not saying he is crap but anyone no matter how good they are could come in 3/4 of a way through a season and offer the continuity to the side that they need to continue on in this vain of good form.
