Paid back for the Brisbane victory in 04, it doesn't really matter, showed a lot to come back from that deficit... absolutely shattered for Roo, would have been a brilliant win, important thing shown today is that we don't give in ever.

I agree, we can take a lot out of today's match still :)
The streak had to end some time, better now than any later this year right

Hopefully we can start a new streak now :)

i don't care about the result however the ineptitude of our officials is a concern.

If you want to pin-point the loss on something then it should be Kosi's decision to play on and handball with 1:30 left. We had players flooding forward and he just needed to show some composure.

Oh well, I'm happy with the spirit that the players showed in the last qtr or so.

It was a worry to fall behind by 40+ points to a side that will only be making up the numbers in the finals (if they even make it)

It was pleasing that we came back as hard as we did.

Roo really (IMHO) needed to slow down and take a deep breath, it looked like he rushed his shot a bit.

I hop it is a "square up" for the Aussie Jones "point" in 04.......cause Brisbane still won the flag that year

It goes both ways, it happens. Can't dwell on it, just have to focus on improving for the last few rounds and finals :)

Lots of things happen in agame of footy to determine the result...swings and roundabouts....umps don't always get it right and sometimes that's to our benefit...sour grapes IMO...

I thought the thought of going on to win a flag made you happy.

But I'm not very good with emoticons

Agree and disagree. Bombers threw everything bar the kitchen sink at us tonight. Strange how one week out just put blokes off their game just a smidgeon. Dal aside, I didn't think the others were that good that came back in.

Great comeback by the boys. We were in it right up to the last kick of the night. Really relieved that no serious injuries appeared to be sustained. Bombers were as good as any team has been against us.

Looked like an honest goal on the replay...didn't see any Saints players protesting it. Agree with Hurricane, Roo could have taken a few more deep breaths and another 15 seconds or so.

Never mind.

Also agree that getting 40-odd points down to a bottom feeder side is not a great sign...maybe resting players was tampering with form???

Agree - but why wan't it a Sainters fist putting the decision out of doubt.

We lost - Essendon won - In truth the better team on the night won - Better in the finals - I doubt it - better tonight - yes!
