What the hell was he thinking? Cost us a North goal, plus we were streaming foward. Stupid thinking considering losing less than a kick.

Was that the free in the 3rd where North got it at the top of the goal square..paid by the non-controlling ump?

Noone seemed to have any idea what was going on.

Actually saw that one for some strange reason. Against Mini for forearming the bloke to his back.

No I think that one was against Mini for a nudge in the back near the middle of the ground but was paid where the ball was in their forward line.

Who is that runner he looks like my Grandfather?

I think the incident in the OP was the runner zipping thru play and the ball deflecting off his leg in Q3.

Set up North to kick inside 50 for a goal...

6. North Melbourne 10.4 (64) d St Kilda 8.11 (59) at Docklands
Watch the full match replay online
The moment: The Saints had the run at half-back and looked set for another forward thrust when the ball hit St Kilda runner Tony Walsh. The umpire paid the free to North Melbourne, resulting in a goal to Andrew Swallow and a 13-point Roo lead. Walsh, who normally relays the coach’s sprays, got on the phone to receive a bake of his own.

Only one Tony Walsh appears to have played VFL/AFL footy, and that was in the early 50s. He doesn't look that old.

We seem to have found every way to give easy goals to the opposition this year. Hopefully, we have exhausted our "bad luck" in this regard "going forward".

Tony Walsh used to sit beside Danny Frawley in the Tigers' box when Danny was coach. Not sue what his function was- seemed to be occupied with player stats . Somehow he does not enthuse me.

Since when has it been a free kick??

Doubly so when he disadvantaged us.

Stupid thing for the runner to do though.

We did a lot of stupid things when we looked set to hurt North on a counter attack, how many times did we miss targets under relatively little pressure.
