Now he's blathering about the Buddy Bump like it was the worst thing in the world...where are the column inches dedicated to the appalling tribunal decisions against St Kilda players this season? IMO, it's ridiculous, therefore, shows consistency!

Mike seems to have confused the term "flag favorite" with who he thinks will win the flag.

There is no evidence above that the Magpies are any better than equal flag favorite.

A quick check with Betfair, Cetnrebet, Sportsbet and Luxbet shows the Saints as clear favorites with all four agencies.

Who does Simon Beasley has as favourite?

Beat Bulldogs (we did that twice and by a lot more than one point) and Adelaide (we did that as well) from what I can see. Yes, we lost two games we shouldn't have and they lost one but c'mon, anyone who tries to argue that a team that has won four less games than the other is a better team is a little off in my book. Collingwood has had a lot to play for for all 21 rounds so far, we have not. That is a major statistic that people hailing the great 'pies should really consider.
It's more the fact that they didn't lose in Rds 20 & 21.

How will their mighty form line look like if they get rolled by the dogs this week??

This is a case of crunching numbers to suit an argument.

They haven't beaten anyone, got rolled by the Hawks who needed instructions to beat an egg and yet somehow are premiership favourites.

At the end of the day, premiership favouritism means nothing, we were favourites prelim final weekend 2005 and Grand Final day 1997. It doesn't get you the cup, it doesn't even get a couple of goal headstart.

It is a worthless title and worth even less when you have to deliberately ignore certain facts to arrive at it.

like it or not, collingwood are the best performed side over the last 6 weeks

a sprint not a marathon maketh but they are playing well at the business end of the year.

us, we're worrying about question marks

poor form, lots of poor individual player performances, unclear structure and best 22, and so forth

bring on spetember and lets see
