Matthew Bate is out and he was their best player last time around and their main forward. If we can't wipe that team, we will never win.

Paul Johnson 25 years old, 199 cm, already looking for a new profession.

Imagine, you play for the wooden spoon team.
A 203 cm rookie is playing first ruck.
The club has 16 players out injured and one still at school.
You are the only senior listed player not be named in the squad for the final match of the season.
You have just been dropped from the team, not even on the extended bench.

geary will play, we need an extra small backman and he will play finals as either we play the pies or dogs whose small forwards always cause us pain.

Big ben comes in and I have a feeling lendog will play.

Hopefully Max is precautionary for injury, not just a non-inclusion.
Armitage 18 possessions, 9 kicks, 9 handballs, 13 tackles.
One of 6 Saints to get more than 100 dream team points.
Dropped, not even to an emergency.

Obviously made too many tackles, he was supposed to WIN the contested ball first, not tackle after. :?

MG has hamstring soreness, should be right for finals
Why is that. have the club said it or you spoken to him?
No, but that is what the official team sheet submitted to the AFL says.

Armitage > Eddy

Didnt think Eddy did much in the VFL this week. Didnt see the previous weeks.

And the Gardiner injury is extremely worrying. Apparently didnt come on for the the 5 min mark of the last quarter last week when the game was there to be won.....Definitely a class above in terms of ruckwork, easily our best tap ruckman.

even a slight hint at a hammy last week would be enough to come off and go into wraps for 1st semi in terms of Gards I would have thought, so lets hope they are being ultra-cautious with him

i think the "should be right for finals" bit is what he's questioning. nothing about that on the official team sheet.

Cotton wool for Gardiner? Do not like it at this stage.
If he is being nursed along then the real test will be flat out in a final.
Meanwhile young McEvoy will benefit.

Don't know why so many people are against Eddy. He is very good at contested ball and has a big tank, so can run to pick up a defensive position in our zone better than the likes of Armo, Ball etc. That's why he gets a game and who's to argue considering it is our defensive press that has been such a factor in our success so far this year. He may not be flashy or a high draft pick, but he does some very important things whenever he plays.

Looks to me like Ball Hayes and MacEvoy in, surely you would want round 22 side to as closely replicate your finals side as possible?

Interesting one is Ray, nobody thinks he is a chance to miss? Would have thought Geary and Ray were similar types both named on the bench? Thought Ray was lazy last week! Has been super for most of the year though and has more class and poise than Geary.
What about Eddy? Has played most games when Gwilt has not. Maybe Dempster up forward this week?

I hate the uncertainty of selection for Sunday games.

Maybe this year?

Why are so many against Eddy??!!...

Quite simple.... He cant really mark, kick, get the ball or make quick decisions...

And on the odd event that the ball does go in his hands, he more often than not turns it over....

Very poor, limited footballer, who can run....

Lenny, Ball and McEvoy will be in.

No room for Armo with Lenny and Ball in.
