About 10,000 to 12,000 (est) people turned up to Moorabbin today. SEN are carrying on about Goddard grabbing his hammy and leaving the ground but with the scrutiny the players were under today you could hear anything.

Some early pics from training. Forgive the quality.
Amazing turn out. Last time I was there, the mud was in the centre of the ground. Kids ended up with mud all over them on the terraces.

Pulled it out of my clacker.
What did we get there on a good day with the stands? 15,000?
I reckon it was less than 10,000 today.

No.
But I did ask who he thought would be B.O.G on Saturday, to which he replied "the umpires".

Without doubt, at least 10,000 fans were there today - two thirds of the ground was packed.
For those of you who have to contradict the SEN statement like you have to be negative with most things StKFC, the support today was magnificent - well done to our loyal supporters.
The photos look terrific incidently - takes me back to the good old days with 20,000 plus crowds at Linton Street.

I think it was over 50,000 at that first game in 1965 against Collingwwod?

Well that makes sense - people are much fatter these days - McDonalds/KFC/Hungry Jacks weren't in Australia back then.

Record attendance Round 1, 1965 - 51,370.
V Collingwood, we won by six points.
The capacity was reduced as more stands were added. I reckon that last big crowd was in 1978 in the last round against Carlton (35,850). We won by 40 points.

ABC news said about 5,000 there, which seems about right to me.
