Re: OFFICIAL Trade thread (saints NOT involved) !!
Didn't that deal hit a snag. I remember reading an article saying that it's not so straight forward and the two parties involved a still talking. The main thing being that if the blues secure say another first rounder for fev, 12-16 for example, they would rather off load that for Mclean and no their pick 11.Eastern wrote:Please post those trades you have heard of (that do NOT involve saints) here. ''Blues yet to finalise McLean deal''
'CARLTON list manager Steven Icke says an in principle deal to land Melbourne's Brock McLean at the Blues is not quite over the line. '

This morning's Age (http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/rfnews ... 53743.html) suggested that Carlton also wanted to swap some picks, but Melbourne seemed blunt in their no.
Reads like it will still be one of the first deals completed tomorrow

North Melbourne screwed by Hawthorn again.
North Melbourne the easiest lay in Australia.
North Melbourne's Josh Gibson and pick No 69 to Hawthorn for picks 25 & 41.
Due to the new recruit window being only 8 months wide that makes this deal equivalent to
Gibson & pick 103 FOR pick 37 & 61.

Well the talk is it actually is, but Carlton is trying to secure anther 1st rnd draft pick, that would be on traded to Melbourne instead. So don't expect this deal to go through until the final day.Unforgiven wrote:Indeed, seems the Brock Mclean pick 11 deal wasn't really agreed to im principle after all.
But if worst comes to worst for Carlton they will use pick 11.

I would suggest that they have reached an agreement that Carlton will trade a first round pick to Melbourne for McLean, it's just a matter of which one.vacuous space wrote:If Carlton is looking to alter the deal, Melbourne should start actively shopping Brock. Given Carlton's recent trade history, I wouldn't put it past them to suddenly alter the deal.
This ofcourse coming from someone sitting in Sydney Airport not having heard a single piece of news whatsoever.

West Coast are winners of that trade IMO. Dalziell is an absolute ball magnet (although he didn't quite regain his form after getting injured!)ThePunter wrote:Pick 60 from Brisbane will be the one moving in the Seaby-Staker-Buchanon-Dalziell trade, going from the Lions to the Eagles.
The Saints are coming!
Interesting with Dalziell. He was a revelation last year but Voss did not fancy him at all.True Blue Sainter wrote:West Coast are winners of that trade IMO. He knows how to find the footy, but he's not a Voss-style of player.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, Dalziell is soft as phuck.

Dalziel is a gun! If West Coast can get Kerr, Priddis, Ebert, Masten etc., they will be very strong next year...He will dominate possies wise, its his kicking that can be average. A certainty for my DT team!True Blue Sainter wrote:West Coast are winners of that trade IMO.
