It amazes me with how many people love Lenny- i know he's amazing but i had no idea he is so far in front with people's favourite player. I am amazed that there is no Joey yet or Gilbert or Fisher
I'm surprised that you're surprised. I thought his popularity was pretty well known.

As for Gilbert, Joey and Fisher, I love them too, but the challenge was to name one.

I will bore everyone again with this story.
After the GF I didn't really feel sad, just empty. I went down to the rooms and ended up next to 7's mum and dad.
After a while he came out and hugged his mum and said "it's just not fair".
That's when I cried.

It probably was 8, now it has to be 7.

Talking of which, I showed 8 around the wards at RCH once (I worked there) and he cried then. I respected him even more for that.

Lenny... if only we had a team with Lenny's attitude and work ethic.

Whilst not in the same class in football ability as Lenny.... I've been a Blake supporter since he first started getting a game in the team.

Gees I love the Blakes of the footy world and what they mean to a team. Obviously so do coaches who he (our Blake) has played for at the Saints....they obviously know more than the so called 'resident footy experts' on this site who have always been first to jump in and criticise his abilities.

Wow Lenny and go the Blakey :P

That's it. To name just one it had to be Lenny. Mini, Gilbo and Milney were also up there for me.

i hadnt heard that story
Thank You :)

at the pregame drinkies at The Corner (was it the dogs game??, i reckon it was)
i was there early and a youngish lad sat down at the table asking if i minded that he sat.
we got chatting and he asked where i was from (gave him the whole, drove over from SA speech yadda yadda yadda)
he said he was on our list during the Watson era and either broke his leg or injured his leg somhow. said he ended up getting delisted.
yet none of us could for the life of us figure out who he was later on in the evening
anyhoo
one thing he did say was that he really hopes we win it, and said its blokes like lenny hayes who are pure class and have the greatest work ethic (as well as being a top bloke) who deserve it more than anyone

i love all the boys equally. and i really cannot pick.
Lenny has to be there, as to Jones and Joey.

If they were women i would turn for them to.
