They all sound promising when those sorts of stats and comments are mentioned however we need to be careful we don't get too carried away. If they were that great they surely would have been picked up in what was universally agreed was a weak draft.

Well with that list of hopefuls no wonder David Moran has left the building (for a year at least)

They sound the same as every other player trying out at other clubs. After picking Allen and Duncan we will only have 2 picks left. Can someone confirm that?

Are we taking Duncan? I'm sure I read on here that we were not going to take him?

There has been no club announcement that they have pre-selected Duncan.
So it is a safe bet he WONT be a St Kilda rookie.

I can not understand why Tommy Walsh is not on the permission to training list.
He still has to have his name called on the 15th to become a St Kilda rookie.
All the club has done so far is announce they will pre-select him.

Brisbane is taking Nial McKeever but he IS on the training list.

I am sure a few of the interstate boys would be worth while, Charlie McAdam, Cameron Kickett, plus the boy Ross was interested in last season, Jimmy Pau??/minni or similar, only short but can play apparently.

Do you think we did not lodge the papers in time?
Im still surprised that we dont seem to be going after a solid bodied mid-size forward. They must be thinking Welsh or Heyne are going to be right for 2010, or perhaps expect a position re-shuffle.

I wonder if Ross has his eye on another young indigenous player? He indicated he was keen to continue the experiment, but that was last year.

In hope that we are looking at Serhat Temel, what more does a kid have to do than kick goals in finals as a junior? He has size, take contected marks and is a pretty good kick.

ST KILDA
Pre-season selections: Nil
Rookie selections: 5 (20, 36, 49, 60, 69)
Locked in: Tommy Walsh - international
Needs: The Saints could focus on some mid-sized forwards, while further midfield depth also wouldn't hurt
In their sights: St Kilda has already secured young Irishman Walsh, a 195cm key forward regarded as one of the best recent Irish prospects. This leaves four live picks in the rookie draft, with Luke Thompson, Daniel Scott-Collings, Johnny Raynor, Tom Hill and Sean Tighe some of the youngsters linked with the club.

Training with St Kilda

Ouch that's tough.
I bet their bodies wish they had joined the rest of South Australia and taken it easy with Port Adelaide. :D :D :D
