They obviously felt that there were other players who were preferable to him, and selected accordingly.
Seems like all 16 Clubs rated him lower than the Gold Coast because everybody 'passed' on him until their first pick. And listening to him being interviewed it sounded like they were more interested in him as a 'mentor' for their young kids than as a player.
adds some muscle to a VERY young and skinny gold coast side, will play well for them in the VFL next year
