How was his EFFORT judged last night.....got on the endo of one......made 4 critical errors and his opponent was BOG.....

Schnieder, McQualter, Steven all showed they can contribute in the middle of the ground......can Stephen?...

can we carry a permanent small fwd, if he is having an off night....and cannot be used elsewhere.....

He and Kosi worried me last night....

Good signs
Stanley, Smith, Armitage, Jones, Schnieder, Peake, Gilbert, Riewoldt.

I don't think we will see Milney in our best 22 by the end of the year.

I thought he did well early then dropped off, but then so did a few more players.

Heath Shaw I think?? Or was it Harry O'brien. I was there but get so caught up in the came I miss a lot of those things and have to watch the replay to get a better perspective

Did some good things. Did some ordinary things. That's Milney. And it's round 1 of a NAB cup game. Big deal. I'm more interested in the promising signs i saw from Smith and Stanley, rather than pick up on minor errors in a game that we won.
Get excited, we are looking like we actually have some depth!

He played on Schneider?

Bold coaching move.

Milney is an instinctive player and does love a goal. He needs to trust his teammates more and use them or at least look for them. You don't always have to take on your opponent. Armo showed that by passing it to Schneider. He lowered his eyes. Great work for a young player.

Personally I thought Milne worked very hard last night in the first half...

In the second Harry was too good for him. But with Harry being sucha good mark it is pretty stupid for team-mates to put it up in the air the way them did. that is just working to Harry's strengths.

I am guessing that in the second that his benchtime was increased while Tudor tested out some fg the lesser lights.

I would not write Milne off just yet...but it is great news that A Smith, Armo and steven are all pushing up.

Probably depends on how well Steven comes up this year, as a direct replacement, or if we get a mid-sized leading forward. Otherwise, Milne won't be going anywhere.
