Just heard.
Grievance tribunal has found that St Kilda unfairly sacked Lovett.
1. St Kilda is required to allow Lovett to resume training immediately.
2. St Kilda is required to honour the verbal agreement that Lovett would be played in the seniors for every match this season.
Means Lovett will play all remaining games this season unless he agrees he is injured.
3. Arrangements for next season to be decided after the trial.
4. St Kilda must meet all 3 years of the financial arrangements in Lovett's contract regardless of the trial outcome.

It was announced when they met that they would make a ruling on April 1...which at the time I thought was a most appropriate date.

Interesting, a very good result if true. I am not sure the tribunal had much choice when it comes to this one, especially after the police also became involved and made a submission at the last hearing.

Looks like AL can now finally concentrate on what i would have thought would be the most important issue he currently faces.

As long as they let AL play for someone else.

Another AFL club, or someone in the WAFL?

As soon as he signs another contract would this not negate the "Saints sacking made him damaged goods and therefore loss of future earnings" argument?

Would have to be at a level lower than the AFL, but surely any earnings he gets could be deducted off of any damages judgement he is granted.

Win/win situation..... he gets an income, we reduce any liability.

You bad person, Ace

Imagine breaching the UN resolution of doing an April Fools joke after 12pm. I believe you when you say it was 10.58am. Wouldn't want you locked up in Gitmo.

Apparently there's a rumour that Jeebus didn't actually eat easter eggs because his hands were "tied" and coloured tin foil wasn't invented. Hope no one eats easter eggs or hot cross buns over easter.

Are you convicting me without a trial like Andrew Lovett.

I demand to be brought before the Saintsational Grievance Tribunal or I will take this matter all the way to the High Court.

The Saintsational.com time stamp on my first post is quite clear.
It says 10:55am

Admitedly the time stamping on Saintsational.com disagrees with my watch by 2 hours.
But then I have often been told that I get ahead of myself.
