On "On the Couch", Mike Sheahan has named us as Premiership favorite because we are better this year and hungry.

James Hird asked why BJ wasn't in the Top 5 in Sheahan's Top 50 and he said that he is up there and may be there by the end of the season.

Funny how things can change so much in a month.

After the NAB cup apparently we were gone according to many in the media, and the Dogs we the next big thing.

After round 1, the Dogs were old news and the Pies we the real deal.

After round 2, the Pies are gawn because the Dees pushed them to within a point.

The media are a strange lot.

Top 3-5? That's almost a disservice and borderline offensive.

I guess in some ways our history has created the scepticism. 20-2 and don't win the Premiership. One premiership ever. It is up to the boys to perform "actions" and that will change their "words."

he did say-' you mean this week" when Gerard queried him about who he was suggesting would win the flag.

Would have to agree with you 100%. I have been at many games, where BJ has had some kicks inide 50 that have left me in awe. I remember one kick where I couldn't think of anyone in the afl that could've pulled it off.

Its not just his right though, his left foot would have quite a few AFL players covered as well.

Best field-kick I've ever seen is Buckley - as much for his technique as his accuracy/distance. Copy book.

Unfortunately this was against us -

All round he is #1 IMO

Can play any position because he can
Kick - equal of any one
Mark as good as a KF at 6'3"
Handball - great vision and smarts
Ground level beause he has been a mid most of his footy life
Defensive due to playing a lot back
Reads the play better than most
Dual sided
Decision making second to none

There are player who are as good as him in some of those facets....not allround IMO......Goodes would be around the mark - no defensive side though....Hodge....C.Cornes a few year back maybe....Pavlich...but not the pure skill....J.Bartel and Ablett very good in most areas...I would put Hodge right up there aswell as a complete package

at St.K Dal would be the closest....schnieder also good
Cyril Rioli
D.Motlop has a high skill level
Kerr
Simon Black has awesome skills
Lindsay Gilbee and Ryan Griffen
Cotchin looks highly skilled
Ryan O'Keefe
Daniel wells - but he is f'n lazy
Pendlebury
Brad Green

These are player who hurt you with the footy

Notice Matthew Capuano's dismal ruck performance in that clip?
Not surprising that this was in fact his last AFL match and Thommo told him he was sacked less than an hour after the final siren.

Yep, that confirms it.

AFL in 2010 is severely lacking Spaghetti Western goal umpires.

It's typical Sheehan, last week he thought Collingwood were premiership favourites.

Last year over the last 6 or so weeks of the season he changed his mind every week.
