The little turd was everywhere. Why
didn't anyone stop him?

Was it his testimonial game?

Weak as piss effort by the team.

That "little turd" deservedly won the medal for B.O.G. It was a bad loss but doesn't take any credit away from a great performance from a player who has had his share of bad luck.

Correct - however I would like someone to take the "Please don't tackle me" sign off his back.

 good point, the intensity was missing and the drop in skill levels may have had a wee bit to do with our loss

Why is it that little fast aboriginal players
always kill us when we lose?

Ok maybe Rodent Is Fijian, but he plays
indigenous footy

He was fantastic especially considering he had a knee reco in between seasons. The fact it was slippery and he is close to the ground was perfect conditions for him.

I thought exactly the same thing.
Who the hell was Jones tagging that was so important that Rodan was allowed to continue on his merry way.

Massive obstinate blunder from the coaching box.

He didn't have an opponent all night. Pretty easy to be BOG if you're playing on no one

I think Jones was on Boak - certainly early in the piece. Although I suggest they may have just released the shackles on Clint in the last couple of weeks - hence the increase in posessions and lesser opponents.
Any thoughts ???

I said before the game started he was a danger. After he did damage for three quarters he was then switched on to BG and wore him like a glove.
In summary, the worst game I have seen for years and that is not sour grapes. The error rate by both teams was worse than Manangtan Thirds standard.

That's how good the Saints were last night. They let a bloke with a synthetic knee run riot on only his second game of the season.

Until we have an administration that demands success and a playing group that bleeds for the guernsey, St. Kilda will just be a sh*tty football club.

The Port Adelaide "shimmy" highlighted by Rodan's BOG performance. In the past I have always considered our midfield talented but somewhat slow and very much prone to teams with good midfield pace that can change direction quickly and exploit the zone that way.

Players that spring to mind are Ablett, Didak, Rodan etc. Any explosive pace off the mark with the ability to change direction.

Our midfield band always seem to have this "straight line" and inability to change direction quickly. Its not a knock (or a large one) it just seems to be what we have at present. Lenny comes to mind, Armo too. Bally was certainly this way.

Its not so much a knock when we attack with the ball as usually strong ball skills counter this to some degree.

In shimmy terms, we potentially have this type of player in Peake. Maybe Ray. But as outsider mids they don't break the zone with this darting attribute. They don't take the game on so much as provide outside run. Joey the same in most cases.

Defensively when we are up against it and the ball gets locked in (Saints more handpasses than kicks against Port), the game opens up to this quick clearance away from our mids. Certainly Jones would have helped quell the Rodan threat, but I would consider Port (when on) one of the better teams at moving quickly around players. The Port record against Saints speaks for itself.

We all criticise Kosi for this element of his game, but in lesser extent its there in our inside mids. 2009 was such a successful year due to in part, the tackling pressure that forced errors. Any drop in this stat leads us open to more effective clearance work from opposition mids with the ability to take the game on and hurt us. Others thoughts?

Was Lenny his match up? I couldn't be sure. But honestly I reckon Lenny looks proppy. Even if it's just the nose, could possibly use a week off to let it mend.

Jones does seem to be given more room this year. Not sure if this is wise.

Baker is laying our hardest tag down back it seems. And doing it damned well

Stupidly overlooked because he was short - but the recruiters should have realised he was bound to succeed as he is super strong, has legs like tree trunks and can break through tackles.

If Jones wasn't on him (and it certainly seemed he wasn't) then I agree, unless we were deliberately trying to lose the game.
Letting him run rampant was a joke and almost certainly cost us the game. Apparently his teammates all love him, so it would have given them a huge boost to see him doing so well.
