Geary v Eddy
I challenge anyone to make a case for Eddy being a better player than Geary. Bet you can't do it.

I feel that there are a couple of areas Eddy would be a better player than Geary.
Endurance?
Positioning in the zone/press?
I agree that Geary is the better player. Has better skills and more upside.
I think Ross is rotating the younger guys a bit more this year. Make sure they're all up and about and competing for spots towards the end of the year.
Just think if Geary, Eddy, Armo, Steven, J. Smith, Lynch, Heyne and some bloke call Roo are fighting to get into the sode. That can only mean good things for the team.

Rather have Armo than either of them right now.
First Heyne, then Eddy has contributed very little from the HFF pressure spot (not intended as a big criticism of them, it's a tough job). Meanwhile we're struggling in the contested ball.
I'd rather have Armo for the ballups outside defensive 50, then tell him to head from the primary contests to the forward line.
For the role as played today, Geary's probably my choice, I just think Armitage is the best player of the fringe right now, and could be used.

I'd like to see Armo in this week, because he was one of our best against Freo and I'd like him firing before then....BAM! (shhhh) wrote:Rather have Armo than either of them right now.

Strange player Geary, can't quite work out where he is best suited.
Skills are pretty good, runs hard, I think they are grooming him to take over as premier small-defender when Bakes retires.
