My favourite would have to be the constant and ear splitting shouts of "BALL" any time a player is tackled.
It doesnt so much peeve me as crack me up. Our somewhat tongue in cheek advice to a girlfriend we are getting to go to her first game was to yell that at the top of her lungs and she would at least blend in.
" I am a loyal person and at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know I am a St Kilda person for life. That was something that has heavily influenced my decision.â€
Footy would be bloody quiet, and quite frankly very boring from an atmosphere point of view if no one ever said any of these things at the game IMO.
Dont like the constant and unreasonable bagging of specific players but fair dinkum you can have a go from the side lines surely, it is part of the theatre that is being at the footy. A bit of banter in the crowd, a wanker who wont shut up, humorous comment from the back blocks, creative and not so creative insults for umpires and opposition players coaches and supporters.
This is football heritage, it is part of what enthralled me about being at the game as a kid and what takes me back every week I can go, with my own kids in tow.

My response was "yeah well done, they kicked it long like you said and look what happens" Some people have no idea that we're setting up and looking for the best option, trying to expose the defense. Just a bit of patience and it usually pays off.
That's my mantra.
And funnily enough once they started to man up and kick it long the game turned into victory!
dad" "I haven't seen farren ray (or even another player).. i don't think his even got a touch"
me: "um if you look closely his currently got the ball now"

What...against Adelaide? The game last weekend?? When did we man up and bomb it long??? We peeled off, played on at all costs and outran them.

With my reserved seats this year i have a newbie sitting behind me who carries on like he is Alan Jeans. He is a bandid for the comments above, plus the irritating miss pronounciation of players such as joey and maqualter.
You must be sitting near me ??? I've got a similar one right in front of me.

"PERCENTAGE IS CRITICAL SAINTS!!!!!!!"
...apparently hammys, quads and groin muscles arent
Not to mention you lose percentage if they kick a goal
