Not at all...I really didn't think Pattison would play a game for us, but this is his 2nd or 3rd isn't it?

Maybe just confirms that Kosi could be a late change?

From other comments on this site I strongly suspect Kosi won't play and that Patto is the "like for like" for him.

If that's the case, expect Heyne or Miles to come in (effectively for Bakes) on Sunday.

Why not just bring Miles or Hayne in straight away for Baker and have Pattison Emg in case Kosi goes out. Why name Pattison first?

The only other possibility is that Gardiner or McEvoy have pulled up sore?

I don't think one poster has ever been complimentary towards Pattison.

He is a Saints player and deserves a little encouragement

FFS Give him a chance

Unexpected but good luck Patto and well done for getting in the side.

not one person has said a bad thing about Pattison on this thread..
people have only queried it because having potentially 4-5 ruckmen in a team is unusual to say the least..

good luck to him but would say the same no matter which 5 rucks we had. If he came in for say kosi, macca, gards etc. I would be right behind him but hell we are the tallest we have been since we tried the gehrig, kosi, roo experiment (pretty sure blake was rucking then)

For starters they are not going to be on the ground at the same time.

One would think either McEvoy/Pattison will be the second ruck with the other in the forward line rotating with Stanley

so we will have 4 on the ground any time.....

Hope our small are on tackling form because the ball will shoot out quickly if not. Also loose a runner in geary from last week (will play smalll back)

I really don't follow you...

Two tall forwards and one ruck on the ground - most of the time - with occasionally having 4 talls -like we did last week against Geelong...

Two tall forwards and one ruck on the ground - most of the time
and two on the bench then? What a slow bench we have then!!! Unless you want stanely to either play back or on the wing.

stanley, kosi, pattison, macca and gardiner are all in that team. Only one plays as a lead up forward (kosi can also lead up at a pinch).

Very slow team IMO

or we have at least 2-3 ruckman on the bench at the same time throughout the whole match..

Im guessing Kosi is out anyway so it doesnt matter..

We really are light on for key fwds arent we..

There were moments last week when we had McEvoy Gards and Stanley on the ground as well as Kosi on an extremely wet ground.

This week under the roof will be different and one hopes we will always have one fresh tall on the bench if not two for some time
