St Kilda midfielder Brett Peake is SEN's Round 13 Drake Recruit of the Year nominee.

Peake was important in the club's 24-point win over Geelong, gathering 19 possessions as the Saints knocked over the ladder-leaders.

The speedy midfielder has given the Saints some extra pace through the middle of the ground, and has the potential to hit the scoreboard.

Peake decided to leave Fremantle at the end of last season, and was picked up by the Saints in exchange for pick 48 in trade week last year.

He's played 10 games for his new club this season, and has contributed six goals.

Peake was drafted as a third round father-son selection to the Dockers in 2003.

i thought he was very good last week, probably his best game for us. If he can do that every week will be a valuable player

Yep his last couple of games have been good. Didnt expect him to play much but to his credit has worked his way into a bit of form. Has covered Grams run pretty well.

again i dont know why he was dropped earlier in year...
was more then holding spot

he provides us with that extra speed we needed.... was a good move recruiting him and lovett in the preseason but the bad news is we all know what lovett did before 2009 was even over...

we got peake for a steal... now that he is starting to really use his pace
and with his ability to pop up and kick 2-3 goals he may just be the missing link come the finals
