and stop attacking dawson and pattison... theyve been a couple of our solid players today...

pattison has created chances for us and been solid in marking contests

dawson has been one of the better players in the defence... gilb and fisher both have cost us a couple each... dawson cost us what 1??? and that wasnt his fault ump didnt pay the clear free then paid the imaginary one

I'm with you. Add Peake and Kos***ske to that list. He came back again to be MIA after 2 weeks off. His body language is pathetic as is most of the time. For his size he is a poor competitor.
You guys are a f****** joke. It's been a bad day.

Get over it!
Mate, we hardly play at the MCG and you got to walk the talk on the big stage especially against the Filth.

No, the fact that these blokes keep getting selected is a joke!!!!

Maybe Gram is having a bad day, but 3 of the other MUPPETS have been on other club lists and got moved on because they were duds!!!!

Thanks Saintbob. At last a comment stating the truth about the performances of these players.

Face it, they showed up to play and we havent.

effort = s***
skills = s***
pressure = s***

Big game and a massive opportunity to take our rightful place on top and we blew it big time.

Yeah I agree. They have played all their cards today. We know what to expect come finals. Dal was a big out and I reckon McEvoy was too actually. But Geelong rested players last year and look how they ended up.

I hate the way people want to sack half of our team and call em weak

Garbage game, not the end of the world...

Face it, teams have these games... We've already had a couple this season and bounced back and played well the next week...

PIssed off it had to be the filth...

but oh well.

it has been around this time that "Kosi" will headbutt a fence, rip a hamstring or belt someone.

Frankly, I’m not at all surprised. I know I’m going to get crucified saying this, but WE DID NOT PLAY WELL FOR A LONG TIME!!!! Somehow they managed to win, but up against a fast team, on the MCG - no chance. And, to make matters worse, I can’t see them winning against the Hawks either, unless they make an all-out effort.

The only hope I have is that the reason for the bad showing is that they have to get used to having Riewoldt in the team again, i.e. a slight restructuring. Once this is achieved, and Roo is back to his former self, they should get better. BUT ….. hmmmm don’t know.

By the way, this is the first time in a long, long time I tipped against them!

Poor effort from our leaders today. No doubt Macca will come back for Kosi who has lost all confidence and is long way behind all our other talls for form. The big thing that sticks out is the low possession count by the forward line, and also another notch on Milne's belt where he has failed in a big occasion game.

Had we kicked straight we wouldn't need an attacking plan B.
Clearly we do need that attacking plan B because we are in the situation right now where it is needed.
No we're not, we're running with Plan A and kicking straight.

Unfortunately, I changed mine back to the Saints after initially thinking we may not be up to the game after playing Brissy last week. I don't think fatigue is the problem today though, so much as a 'care less' attitude. That's fine, so long as we back it up next week with a win.

We weren't interested today.

Not sure why. But we weren't.

Lets not do that in the finals!

Did not come to play.

Simple as that.

Not enough pressure and allowed ourselves to be pressured.

A few players need a rocket.

A few players need to go back to Sandringham.

Worst game in two seasons.

You let a lot of people down today.

It is a very tough comp to win consecutive games. 7 in a row is a very good effort.

Collingwood HAD to win this game they had consistantly lost to Geelong and St Kilda for the last 2 years and they needed to win this to have any chance.

Clearly RL has bigger fish to fry and has correctly worked on the strategy to finish top 4 as long as you stay in Melbourne. Whether you are 1 2 3 4 does not matter as long as you are in Melbourne. I am sure it wil never be admitted but with the draw left Hawthorn is the only risk but we should finish top 4.
Rest players when we can, take the pressure off

FFS Leigh Brown playing a good game- every dog has its day.

it happens and move on. Remember GEelong had serious doubts this time last year

We could actually slip out of the top 4 on the back of this. Hawks next week is now a massive game They sapnked the Lions this week minus Buddy and are on fire at the moment. Adelaide seem to be up and about as well. Essendon always seem to get up for us, but we should win that. No margin for error in the run home now.

F*** none of them can execute the basic kicking skills. They all caused turnovers that led to Collingwood goals.

Oh well,
we played as bad as we can, and they played as well as they can, on our day we would beat them easily.

We had a few players who are not 100%:
Riewoldt just getting game time
Gram the same
Dal Santo being out really hurt us he is the mid that always plays a key role in our goals.

I know I will sound like a broken record but Dawson...seriously, someone needs to teach him how to play.

Kosi is a liability
as is Gilberts kicking....terrible.

Collingwoods pressure...brilliant
Ours....terrible

Not our day.......but we needed this, it is true we havent been playing well lately.

I was impressed with what steven did today and pattison showed his ability at times.

Round 16....oh well. Hopefully we can learn from this and build as a TEAM!!

Hopefully the boys train hard this week and the coaches take a good hard look at whats going on (THE FORWARD LINE!!!!!) and we come out firing next week agaisnt the hawks.

I will not be dwelling over this loss, its a real pain losing to the pies but who cares, suck it up and move on.

Wasn't it his time last year that we looked a touch off-key against Roos, Bombers, Sydney.

Are we going through a loading up period on the training track?

Some of the guys looked stuffed very early.
