My thoughts exactly Carl.No getting off the wagon here

How true the OP is! How many on here thought we were a shoe-in for the flag at this stage last year? It COULD well be that the Pies are the real deal, or Geelong or Freo Or hawthorn ...OR! US!!!!!!!
the fact is no one will know until the final siren on that last saturday in september..the point now is to get enough wins to be there on that last day in september..Simple? eh?

They were on top after round 16 in 1966. They also beat us by eleven goals during the season.Sainternist wrote:we can only hope, mate.Verdun66 wrote:Collingwood will choke with the expectation that will now be heaped on them.
an ominous statistic was that the last time they were on top of the ladder this late in the season was 1990. Bleh!

If that isn't an omen, I don't know what is.kosifantutti23 wrote:They were on top after round 16 in 1966. They also beat us by eleven goals during the season.Sainternist wrote:we can only hope, mate.Verdun66 wrote:Collingwood will choke with the expectation that will now be heaped on them.

Yes we were well down but had we kicked 16 goals 6 we would have still won the game.
Kosi, Gram and Roo were all underdone - Dal missed.
Also maybe McEvoy deserves the nod ahead of Kosi ? .. whilst Kosi finds form with Sandy ?
We had a couple of passengers .. maybe tired after Gabba ?
Ray for instance had an unusually quiet game.
Montagna and Schneider kicked 6 behinds and no goals.
the only way is up .. even if we lose against the Hawks next week whilst we tweak things and find form - it's no big deal.
