We have found another venue for the interim until the Mighty Broadway Hotel gets up and Running

This invite goes out to those Brisbane based Saints or any Saints fans in brisbane this Friday night

OUr new interim Hotel is 'Regatta Hotel'

we will be in the upstairs room where kids are welcome until midnight

was chatting to Carl on Saturday night and he didn't give a time limit, but did say damage not as bad as expected and agreed it may give them a few more options.

seemed upbeat about it.

No, i dont know when the Broadway will be up and running

They dont have any ideas either

Carls son (the owner) said that insurance hasnt come through and they dont know when they will be in contact.

I highly doubt it will be before the end of the footy season, but possibly by end of year.

The downstairs part is relatively unscathed (the pub part) but they cant do much until the whole pub is up and running!

The Regatta Hotel in Toowong?

Well known during the 1974 when the floods from the Brisbane River meant the only way people could get there was to get out the rowing boat and row , row, row, your boat.

BTW is the Toowong Pool which was next door still going?

I have no idea about the pool, i am a South Sider so i havent seen it. I will have a better look though.

School holidays and being sent to Brisbane in the 60s and 70s meant I saw a lot of that pool, the ABC studios (now shut down) was on the other side of the road on Coronation Drive.
