Lesser lights

Post: # 969250Post FQF »

People often say that when our best players are up and about, it brings everyone else up with them.

But I i think a few players had very encouraging days despite that fact.

Particularly Peake, who was very impressive.

Eddy - I really like his absolute determination and hardness at the contest, it is a crucial aspect to our game plan.

Geary - wasn't brilliant or flashy but held his own, played well under pressure in a few instances, and was reliable when the ball was in his hands. He also goes in 100% everytime.

If Dawson and Baker are to break back into the side, I'd have to say that Dempster is the first to go. And after that it really is a very tough call.

I thought Demspter today was our least effective player

Peake was fantastic, I gave him votes.

He provided valuable run, 23 disp, 7 tackles, 3 inside 50's, 3 assists

Not entirely sure about that.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Yep. He was everywhere, and playing to his strengths.

The only issue with Peake is his disposal effectiveness, but even this has improved in recent times.

Suddenly our depth isn't looking all gloom and doom.

With Zac and Baker still pressing for spots.
Steven on the cusp.
Armo may return to form just in time.
Stanley and Pattison as viable options.
And the elevation of Simpkin.

All you need is one big demolition and things look nice again...

I followed each of Peake's disposals in the 2nd half - did one hit a target/goals?
Very damaging player if he could turn this around.

He looks good doent he? and with an 100% effective disposal he could cut most teams a new one, but that applies to every player in every side.

I think hes looking good come finals.
