Agree...I think that will be the final result..Pattison in. He did ok when in a few weeks ago.saintlee wrote:My guess is Pattison in, Gardy out.
I'd be happy to see Stanley get another crack, but not sure what his VFL form has been like...
Obviously Zac didn't come up..they were saying they might name him and see how he went in final training session tomorrow. Haven't even done that.

This is no time to give players a chance unless they 100% deserve it. From here on in it should be a focus on getting our "finals" team on the field.plugger66 wrote:Why what has he done to be above the others on the bench?Ralphy wrote:Hope that miles gets his chance.

i agree and im not 100% sold on zac, the games that he has been out we seemed to have dominated opposition but he wasnt playing that badly last month or so...tough oneIluvHarvey wrote:This is no time to give players a chance unless they 100% deserve it. In regards to Zac I think he is better if he has a definate player to play on. The teams with a big forward like Franklin, Hall or even a Mooney. When we play a team like the Kangaroos who don't really have a dominant forward he seems to struggle without a definate role. Thats my opinion anyway.S.A Saint wrote:i agree and im not 100% sold on zac, the games that he has been out we seemed to have dominated opposition but he wasnt playing that badly last month or so...tough oneIluvHarvey wrote:This is no time to give players a chance unless they 100% deserve it. Yea he does play better when given a role..just had a look over some stats and the games that he hasnt played this season have included richmond, freo cats and now port..also when he played we lost last time against them and im not saying its his fault just that we have played better without him in the side with gwilt taking his role

i'd be surprised if it was anyone other than pattison in the final ins.
would like to see dempster out for steven, but i accept that steven's probably not going to get a defensive role at this stage in his career so it's unlikely to happen.
good week for the roos to try to play david hale back into form, i reckon. without zac in our side we don't have a matchup for him.

I would really hate if Hale had his once-a-season massive bag of goals.bergholt wrote:i'd be surprised if it was anyone other than pattison in the final ins.

Their ruckman also tend to drop forward, so we could quite easily be very short in the backline.
We'll just have to smash them in the midfield.

Where have I told someone what he can and cant want. I just wanted to know what he had done more than others on the bench. I'd rather us pick our best players than players i support otherwise I'd probably have 5 under 20's in the side. I would like it but the rest of us wouldnt.st_Trav_ofWA wrote:where did he say he deserved to play ? fair go i hope miles gets his chance just cause i support the kid and would like to see him get his shot does that mean he deserves his spot ? no does that mean its going to happen ? no ..... who the hell are you to tell someone what they can and cant want ?plugger66 wrote:Why what has he done to be above the others on the bench?Ralphy wrote:Hope that miles gets his chance.

Its clear that Ross has drawn a line through the list at about 26-28 players who he believes can be the core group of a premiership side. Past that 26-28 the rest are kids who are in their 3-4yr 'apprenticeship' as he calls it. This year he's blooded a few kids - Heyne, Lynch, Stanley, Steven - but hasnt kept them in the team for more than 4-5 games.
On that basis I can guarantee the only change will be Pattison for Gardiner. Kossie will again be played as key forward and Stanley wont be used. Dissapointing for me because I really wanted Rhys to be played forward and Kos into the ruck. In ross we trust though.

Was checking out the North board at BF and saw this post / rumour ..
"i have it on good authority that milne spent the day in a hyperbaric chamber today and he is only a 20% chance to play. "
More than likely just rumour or wishful thinking but if true would Steven be the most likely replacement ...

Would like to see Stanley and Rooey in the same forward line together , interested to see how it would work. Maybe Big Mac and Kosi sharing the ruck duties and drifting forward when needed .. ?saintlee wrote:My guess is Pattison in, Gardy out.

Jack Newnes happy to be a Saint !!!! PS and to hit a target !!!
