Barry Hall
If we play the doggies next week, can Zac play on him.
Leaving aside the fact that he'll get help from his backline buddies, if he good enough to cover him on the lead, and once the ball hits the ground?
Or perhaps the bigger question, have we got a better option?

Gwilt has the body, although I'd feel best with Chips on him (although that does of course hurt our run)saintjake wrote:so long as chips and gilbo and ray all cut across him he will stand for nothing.
not known for his contested marking, just his one on one work.

I don't think Chips is a very good one on one defender.dcstkfc wrote:Gwilt has the body, although I'd feel best with Chips on him (although that does of course hurt our run)saintjake wrote:so long as chips and gilbo and ray all cut across him he will stand for nothing.

Jack Newnes happy to be a Saint !!!! PS and to hit a target !!!
Gwilt has shown he isn't shy to run, and with his disposal if it was a choice, I would almost rather have him running off then anyone else.FQF wrote:I don't think Chips is a very good one on one defender.dcstkfc wrote:Gwilt has the body, although I'd feel best with Chips on him (although that does of course hurt our run)saintjake wrote:so long as chips and gilbo and ray all cut across him he will stand for nothing.

Could still be some scars from the NAB Cup GFSainterK wrote:Not sure Zac is the right match up for Barry, but he will play on him. They will go to him so often, our guys should able to lend a hand.

I'm honestly not sold on Zac this year, but if I remember correctly, he kept Barry to 2 goals in 3 quarters from memory? Then Zac got injured, and he kicked something like 5 in the last?dcstkfc wrote:Could still be some scars from the NAB Cup GFSainterK wrote:Not sure Zac is the right match up for Barry, but he will play on him. Wouldn't judge him on that game personally...
Pre season game , this is show time and as my hero say's he's our Full Back .dcstkfc wrote:Could still be some scars from the NAB Cup GFSainterK wrote:Not sure Zac is the right match up for Barry, but he will play on him. They will go to him so often, our guys should able to lend a hand.

hall is worth 5,000 extra ticket sales and maybe 100,000 worth of sponsorship.
Its as simple as that for the AFL.
he clearly intentionally struck a player, sure he pulled the punch but that doesn't detract from the facts.
Plus he has a stack of priors.

Since Dawson has been at the club, we have played the bulldogs 4 times for 4 wins:
R6 2009 - 28 point WIN (Dawson played, not sure who on)
R17 2009 - 45 point WIN (Dawson didn't play)
Prelim 2009 - 7 point WIN (Dawson played)
R6 2010 - 3 point WIN (Dawson started FWD then went back to Hall in 2nd half, S Fisher on Hall in first half then went FWD in 2nd half. Hall kicks 1.1 total)

Other than the game this year, (where we just scraped through with our fingernails), all those other stats are irrelevant.hotdish wrote:Since Dawson has been at the club, we have played the bulldogs 4 times for 4 wins:
