Also remember Dale "The Flea" Weightman said he followed the Saints as a kid.

And Nick was Hawthorn.
If we're talking Dal Santo, that is definitely correct.

Not sure Roo followed as a kid though.

However, Roo's Dad was a Sainter and was just beside himself when Roo was drafted to St Kilda. He still is such a proud Dad. One of the sadest things after the GF last year was seeing him, totally devestated. Lovely family.

He has absolutely loved being closer to the action this year- like a kid in a lolly shop at functions. judging by his enthusiasm.

Well, you're getting it from the horse's mouth there.

The source I got the info from said he went to high school with Dal. The guy may also have an Adavanced Diploma in Bullsh*t Artistry... I dunno.

The previous generation of Riewoldts, like many Tasmanians of their age, are mostly Saints fans. It's one of the reasons I'm still annoyed about our refusal to draft Jack.

On the topic of players who grew up following the Saints, I know we probably don't want to think about him ATM, but wasn't Fevola a Saints fan?

You do realise if it wasn't for Carlton's little acountancy mistakes, Salopak would be a Saints player right now instead of Goddard.

Lets face it. Luckily we dont only get players who barracked for us otherwise we would be much worse off.

West Coast, Collingwood and Essendon would fight out the flag every year!
