COME ON SAINTS!

We need to kick more goals, we need to get the ball to ground inside 50. Come on boys, the time is now.

Gee, the Bulldogs are playing a gutsy and clever game. I'm not feeling overly confident that we have the answes.

Our midfield was well beaten in the first quarter. Dal and Joey need to lift. And BJ.

Rob Murphy limping too. The Pies would be loving the tough slogfest.
Half time...6 points down.

Okay Saints, We've let the Bullflogs have their little glimmer of hope... Now it's time to snuff it out with some SAINTS FOOTY

Surely the hurt from last years GF loss can be drawn upon to blow them away

Hello? isn't this the st kilda plan?

let the opposition grind themselves into our brick wall and then score?

DER, chill.

the only worry is NDS.

At least it's not raining out here!

Unfortunately this game is a bump and grind, bash and crash affair!

The wet weather seems to have taken Riewoldt and Kosi out of the game to some extent, we need to take more risks approaching goal... there is too much second guessing when we're about 50m out; as McEvoy demonstrated just back yourself.

I feel as though they've thrown all they've got and only 1 goal up... but, we've got start hitting some targets... some very basic skill errors (incl. kicking into our own man, 3 times my count) hurting us at the minute.
Can only hope this improves to match our effort.

Riewoldt kicking into Kosi in an open goal square, someone else kicks it straight into the back of someone's head... surely with that out of the way, now we can get some clean possession.

IMO our second quarter was worse than the first.

We got two goals from rather lucky turnovers. Otherwise we'd be looking even more shaky than we do.

The Dogs are holding most of our stars and all our weak links are looking v weak: Kosi, Jones's kicking, Riewoldt's kicking on goal, Gilbert's kicking, Dempster's non-existent overhead skills, etc, etc

The midfield remains the key. We have been undermanned there all year, but our run out of the back has saved us. The Dogs have largely countered our run out of the back (and the weather hasn't helped), so we are vulnerable.

But we are close enough. And we have more firepower. But, on our efforts so far, we don't deserve to win. But I still reckon we will...

Come on Saints, let's hit the ground running in the third... need goals up front, we need to hit the lead for a start!

I reckon we should forget zoning .. and go man on man,

They are getting numbers to contests - and we're not at the moment.

Certainly not playing anywhere near where I would expect us to play.

Concerned about NDS.

Confident we'll win, nerves are jangly.

it has been around this time that "Kosi" will headbutt a fence, rip a hamstring or belt someone.

The zoning is working when they are kicking out from a point, in fact we have made a meal of it a couple of times when we had the turnover.

Riewoldt will be kicking himself after that 1st half. 3 points from gettable shots. 5 inneffective kicks (from 6 kicks!)

I refuse, utterly refuse to believe he will take this lying down.

f*** the weather, GET INTO IT CHAMP!!!

I hope Ross gave the team a bit of a talking to at half time.
