In our first 2 years at Linton street we make 2 Grand Finals in 1965 & 1966. In our last 2 years at Linton street before our move next year to Seaford we make the Grand final, 2009 & 2010. In 1965 & 2009 we lose very winable Grand Finals & in 1966 & 2010 we play Collingwood as underdogs. We hope 2010 is a repeat of 1966.
It is time, 5 preliminary finals in 7 years & now 2 Grand Finals.

St Kilda has lost every Grand Final they've played in odd numbered years.
St Kilda has won every Grand Final they've played in even numbered years.
St Kilda has never won a Grand Final without first losing one the year before.
St Kilda has won every Grand Final they've played after losing a Grand Final the year before.

Re: Coincidence?
There wasn't a hung Parliament in 1966. The Coalition totally crushed Labor in an election after the Labor leader Calwell was almost assassinated at the Mosman Town Hall (round the corner from where I grew up, i can still remember the sirens). I've no idea what this is an omen for.SaintSimmo wrote:2010 - we had the second hung parliment in Australian politics- St.Kilda vs Collingwood GF

The next year the winning PM. Harold Holt, disappeared without trace by the seaside (an omen for G Ablett jnr?)
