No change. Baker is the only one who could play but he surely could only replace Dempster and he has done very well in both finals.

I wish Armatige was in the side so bad..... there's just something about the guy that gets us over the line, time after time....

(great mark)
(head over ball)
The time he kicked that goal against Bulldogs off the ground.
Kicked the winning two years ago in NAB cup

Probably a lot more other things too...

I think he's our lucky charm :)
Armo vs Ball matchup suits well also :)

But who do you take out of the side? :S (unless dal is injured)

I think Geary might come in for Dempster.... I think Eddy will keep his spot, been a lot better than last year in the last two games.

McQualter owes us big time this year, please kick straight.

No Change for me

But likely changes could be -

Baker in for Dempster

Miles in for Gram

Baker or Geary in for McQualter?
Would be sad for the kid but he has not been up to last years standard IMHO.
But probably Ross will go with no change.

While Bakes is in our best team, don't underestimate Dempster. He will be a good match up for Didak.

Armitage was a couple of games off match fitness and was not ready for finals. I hope next year he has a big one.

No Change unless injury forces it.

I can't see Gram missing after watching training on Monday, he appeared to be running without issue.

Dal was in the 'recovery' group but I can't see him missing either.

Every team has players who play with niggles especially in the 2nd half of the year and finals and I don't think it will be any different on Saturday.

Gram will play and will have a jab before hand. I think the team will remain unchanged when it is named with Baker on the bench. Who actually runs out on the park on Saturday is another thing entirely. Still think Bakes is a strong chance to play.

Coaches don't start dropping players who play well in a winning finals teams. The only outs would be injury or if it was so wet and soggy that one tall would need to be dropped for a small.

Would work for me.....Love how Gears will fly the flag at the drop of a hat.

McQ is lucky to still be in that team IMO.

100% behind the named team on SAT though..

I am expecting no change......as long as Gram is fit.

However if there is a change the player I would see under most threat is Mini.

Possibly Geary or Steven to come in.

The way Collingwood press makes Mini's role less able.....and would increase the value of a player like Steven who can run forward for goals.

Peake is very important in this game to help counter that press. ie we kick over them for Peake to run and gather. Expect to see Roo doing this with his opponents too.

Ditto for Gram's pace.

No change - Ross will be reluctant to make any unforced changes at this stage.Mini is safe - important in Ross' structure and he is a very good organiser in the set - ups & forward structures.
Too late to get to radical now.

Fantastic.

I was hopeful of that.

Davis will crash and burn. Presti's this year's version of Rocca in last years QF. IMO.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Pretty shocked. Only reason I can think, is that its going to rain so they'll have more talls than us, giving us the advantage?

I'm sort of hoping McEvoy's omission isn't a bluff - and both Gram or Dal are indeed fit to play as they are both important players.

Malthouse will probably see his omission as a bluff anyway.. so what's the point of playing mind games ? - as it might backfire for us if the pies end up going in with an extra small and we go in with one less small and they just kill us at ground level.

I think the game will be won or lost by ground level players getting on top - and we therefore need both Gram and Dal to be 100 %.
