I thought he had a good game, there were quite a few times where he popped up and got a contested possession in the midfield. I'm not sure if he had a score assist as well? I was happy with his game though.

Resolute after the siren too, it should be said.

+1. Just awesome, a couple great tackles in the centre which saved us a few times.

I suppose we all see things through a different prism. If you look at his game in terms of the games of others, he does not come out so good. If you look at his game in terms of what he has produced in the past, then his game seems a bit better.

He definitely plays better in the second half of a game. His distinct lack of pace is less relevant when everyone else is running slower.

I agree - was impressed today - I also hope that his finding a good game will put him in good mind for next week

Been watching some of it again. He really put his body on the line and was bowling people over, blocking etc. Doesn't get in the stats. Grammy did a biggie with 20 sec to go as well. Phew!

Agree with the first point but with the second.

Mini has a different role to those who acculate the stats. His selfless acts are commendable. Yes he's a bit slow at times but generally doesnt turn the ball over as easily as some of our more "favourite suns". I'll name thyese guys later if you want but it wont really serve any purpose.

He should definitely stay for next week.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Mini is the ultimate role playing footballer, no-one notices him most weeks but he keeps getting selected and there's a good reason. Mini's games shouldn't be judged via opinion or stats that champion data supply, keep your eye on him for a while just behind the play. Saints footy has been the catch cry this year and Mini does it week in week out.

Mini was great today.

But Eddy might come under the spotlight.

Month? It's always:

OUT: McQualter
IN: My most recent favourite Sandy player who plays a completely different role to McQualter.

Without fail. People only shut up last year when he started to put up some impressive stats.

There's no doubt he hasn't been as prominent this year, but he always chases, pressures, tackles and is pretty smart with the ball. I reckon he's a positive most weeks when he hasn't had a lot of the ball.

Yeah nah pleasing positive

Ross did not look too thrilled with Eddy today from the footage of the box.

But we know he is not in the team for his kicks and handballs and I think he definitely put his body over the line...

Realistically, only Geary would be a chance I think.
