In that 2nd quarter I reckon counted about 6 free kicks to us that weren't paid and about 6 to them that were ridiculously soft

Jamie Elliot's paid mark was ok because a similar mark was paid over 20 years ago. That's called precedent.

Savage off is a huge loss, he was a big reason we were doing well in the 1st Q.

Not that quarter. I thought it was deplorable and was getting to the point of unwatchable.

Our intensity and clearances fell away terribly in that quarter and Pies fully deserve to be 3-4 goals ahead BUT

The AFL needs to do something about the quality and consistency of umpires.

Absolutely appalling that quarter.

One sticks out like dogs balls. Cloke gets his jumper pulled and a free and goal.

Bruce has his jumper pulled off - PLAY ON.

We will get beaten and by a better team, but it is unfair when the umpires are so poor and so terribly inconsistent.

As a supporter it just feels unfair to have such inconsistent and poor umpiring

Pies killed us through the middle in that 1/4, our run and belief is very fragile and we started panicking with the ball because the run stopped! Poor old Paddy has made some good leads but they womt kick to him.

Shocking quarter, they started running hard in support and we couldn't take it. Not only could we not win contests but we weren't even halving them and causing stoppages - they always had the numbers.

Best so far: Steven, Armo, Roberton. Savage in the first quarter. Geary and Dunstan have been OK. Saad has looked reasonably lively. Some good signs from a few of the kids but a lot could lift based on that quarter.

Why is Paddy playing? Cleary not ready. I know Lee is a spud and White hasn't shown much, but is it worth doing this to Paddy this early in the year??

Who are the players involved in our clearances? Pies have 11 individual clearance winners in that quarter.

I agree with him. But I also think White's big fly over Fisher in the first quarter should have been a free kick - if you jump on someone's back, you need to take the mark.

Bigger bodies are showing up.
They got goals from us in first quarter which kept them close.
If we can work so we don't get a blow out I'll be happy and hope Paddy can get a goal.
Just wonder playing in the humidity last week is starting to take it's toll.

I know we had two six day breaks but surely we cannot be out of legs at quarter time. No pressure on them, clearances a disgrace.

Umpires have no idea, apparently Collingwood can drop the ball and throw the ball and it is either holding the man or play on the ball was knocked out.
