Well, the food I saw was crap, and that may well be one of the lifestyle reasons 1 million Chinese have migrated here, after all our overall living standards are far superior to those of china. Face up to the facts and stop being offensive.

Heavens to Betsy, if it does transpire that they were taken to a restaurant by a club official then serious action needs to take place. The members must have their satisfaction!

The food in Shanghai is world class. They have some incredible restaurants and cuisines from all around the world. I shall admit that some of the Chinese restaurants there serve “different” food to what we know as Chinese food (which is mainly Hong Kong based dishes) but the actual standard of food is very very good.

Hmm living standards is such a subjective consideration. As always, living standards has much to do with how much money you have. Shanghai for those with money has so much to offer..I know as I have many expat friends who live there and would never return to the outer suburbs in Melbourne where they spend all their time in cars. Shanghai is simply an amazing city...for those with enough money. And the food is simply awesome.
