28 pts in the 3rd Q??

In 1992, the Saints played the mighty Hawthorn team at Moorabbin. What was significant about the 1st Q??

We outscored the hawks 8.3 to 0.3.
Good % if the game had ended at 1/4 time!!

We ended up winning by 10 points.

I noticed that it was a R4 fixture but played after the R5 games.

We beat Fitzroy by 20 points on Mon 20th April (must have been Easter)and then won again by 10 points on Wed 22nd April.

Maybe the hawks ground wasn't up to spec during the previous week!
We all know that the Moorabbin ground was a superb piece of turf!!

There's still another part to the answer given before ...

Some memories of that game.

1. It was Frankie Pecketts first game although I dont think he came on until the last qtr.

2. I made the statement that I would drink two cans of VB per quarter for the rest of the season. True story except I am sure its not the answer you are looking for.

3. "Kick Start My Heart" became my good luck song.

Yep - it was Frankie Peckett's debut ( pretty sure he did come on in the opening Q) AND we scored the then club record for a quarter against the Dorks!! Not too sure about the cans Selhurst!!

Still on the same theme.

How many posessions did Frankie get on debut and how many more games did he play that year?

Both answers I think would be zero.

I think we should invoke the "24 Hour Rule" on this one. Open Slather.

Anyone got a question?

Who coached our side immediately before Allan Jeans?
And also who coached our side immediately after Allan Jeans?

Wasn't there a Bruce Ellott?

No idea what number he wore but seem to remember that like Trevor Chappell he was going to be better than the other 2.
