IMHO Nick is gone as captain. He has lost too much credibility. The club will have to work really hard now to find a new sponsor.

How can our club keep on having this sort of thing happen. :(
Someone tell me what he has done wrong???????

This is bigger than Nick, and a silly photo.
A silly photo yes!

But thats it. You never had photos taken that you shouldn't have?

To say that he should lose the captaincy is ridiculous!
I said he probably cost himself the captaincy...

Why is it becoming increasingly hard to have an opinion on here, just because mine differs from the masses this particular time?

Like it or not, sex scandal and St Kilda now go together.

Brand, image.

That is all.

What I don't understand is this stupid girl eluded on her twiiter in mid November that she had these photos. One 'tweet' was addresed to Zac and the other to the football club. She basically said that she was going to do what she eventually ended up doing today. If this is the case why has this been allowed to get to this point. She should have been stopped before it got this far.

No-one would be more embarrassed than him over this I would imagine.
Which would be fine, if he/they were the only ones embarrassed.

They should be the only ones embarrassed! Maybe their families and that all.

A rugby league player lost his job over a lewd picture of him with a dog.

What if she has similar pictures. WHAT IF.

Think of the children. Why won't someone think of the children.

Of course the acolytes will still cry 'what has he done wrong' all hail the infallible football club.

Yes, but the problem I am seeing now is that the pictures are uploaded onto public photo sites similar to imageshack. And other people are just posting the links. The attention whore who started this is just standing on the curb giggling whilst others post the links.

No court can control the photos now, and I doubt they can empower overseas servers that have the photos readily on display like Imgur.
Fair comments SirDog.

However her Twitter account makes it quite clear she has utilised her friend's FB page to continue her pursuit after her own FB page was shut down.

She knows exactly what she's doing and that would be of interest to the Federal Court!

Come off it!!! Seriously, you think so over a a photo of someone naked? We are in serious trouble then if your reasoning is to be believed as there are *apparently* still 19 other photos. Seems we may not have a captain next year if we were to follow your logic.
It's an opinion!

I don't speak for the club, which is why I use words like opinion, IMO, I think....

and no it's not about Nick being naked, it's about the club being involved in another scandal, or can we laugh the frequency of that happening away as well?

As I mentioned earlier, the photo's are allegedy of other players from other clubs, whatever....

Thy wigged ones of the federal court...

Archaic powers totally inequiped to deal with any kind of digital enforcement of this age.

The images are already everywhere, the damage is done. Nothing will stop her from uploading more unless she is jailed.

If any player is caught with an animal they deserve what they get. However this photo is 2 players and 2 players only. The girl isn't even in question in regards to where the photo was taken or in what context, as she obtained them illegally!

'Privacy', like a Warne text message?

'Privacy' like Fev at a private function?

They must be really thick.

Of course it's not the end of the world... but it sure aint harmless or funny in the least.

What the hell are you on about? What if she has photo's of Roo committing a burglary? What about committing a stick-up? What if what if what if

Why don't we stick with the facts. there was no dog. Until a dog appears let's worry about that then. I'm telling you this will blow over, and in a couple of months time it will be nothing more than cause for a snigger in the pub.

You confuse being loyal to the players, which even the club would be, with the fact it's big business these days.

The club is trying to negotiate a new sponsor, do you understand this?

Are you trying to tell me that the club would not be concerned, the existing sponsors wouldn't be making noises, that there would be no embarrasment from the powers that be that this story has broken when trying to negotiate a new 'major' one?

Don't confuse me voicing what I think the club will do in this situation, with a lack of loyalty.

You make a god point here. Who did take the photo?

Maybe it was taken with the utmost confidence maybe it wasn't.

Maybe it was taken to be a private shot, maybe it wasn't?

Do you know the truth?

Probably, until the next stkilda SEX FIASCO. Stkilda SEXCAPADES! Or whatever other title the media will think up.

As pointed out by someone else , this is a brand image problem. It's damaging.

Lets think of the positives.... It couldn't have happened at a better time. If this shite storm happened going into a finals campaign it could be catastrophic. Best to get it out of the way now. And who knows, it could be galvanising for the team. Bring on 2011!
