Seems the AFL don't know anything/much either.... maybe Saad didn't even know?

Good work ASADA, leaking like a sieve.
The leak began when Ahmed gave his sample.

So it was positive then, not irregular?

So why has he been able to play at the VFL?

Nice timing Demetriou.

I dont think this was planned but the other trip was. And im sure other people can handle it. Also it doesnt make it positive because one news agency said it was. Lets wait and see but one thing i know is Jonny Member is completely wrong. its a big story.

To be fair to Andrew, he is currently in the US with Eddie McGuire looking into ways of ensuring the AFL Competition gives the appearance of being an even competition, while at the same time ensuring teams such as Eddie’s retain a clear advantage 8-)

I wouldn't blame Demetriou.

Notice who else appeared in the papers/websites this morning? And within hours of that the Saints are dragged in to it.

Seems eerily similar to the Milne thing bobbing up every time Collingwood hit the headlines over the past few years.

Eerily similar, and eerily convenient.

Results of tests may have just come out hence why he has been playing in the VFL.

Not sure Andy can control Saad's lack of diligence.

They must be a strong club. They organised Milne to get charged with rape and Saad to take a banned product.

The convenience will be nobody will be shocked when the Dons are players are sent infraction notices soon after Saad.

Well that means it contains maybe small parts of an illicit drug like cocaine. If he got caught a day earlier it would be just a strike but under WADA rules he is in trouble.

If he is doing coke he deserves to get banned

I've read the statement that's now on http://www.saints.com.au

It didn't say much, other than confirming a positive resut and Saad was "surprised and disappointed" by the result.

And a crack about with privacy rules they can't say any further.

Fair enough, maybe we're trying to stick o the rules.

No-one else sticks to any of the rules, but we do

I reckon over the counter drugs would contain small traces of those types of drugs. Doubt he is taking cocaine a day before a game or on day game.

Hope you are right. Take your word for it on the over the counter drugs as I choose not to dabble in that sort of thing. Everyone to their own though.

You could be right.

They should go with the Gasquet defence....

Gasquet avoids doping ban
Updated: December 17, 2009, 2:09 PM ET

GENEVA -- French tennis player Richard Gasquet was cleared of any wrongdoing Thursday when the Court of Arbitration for Sport accepted his claim that he tested positive for cocaine by kissing a woman in a nightclub.

The CAS dismissed appeals by the World Anti-Doping Agency and International Tennis Federation, which wanted Gasquet banned for up to two years.

"I'm absolutely relieved. This is the end of a crazy story," Gasquet said. "I'm happy to be 100 percent cleared."

The court in Lausanne accepted Gasquet's claim that he inadvertently consumed cocaine by kissing the woman in a Miami club hours after withdrawing injured from a tournament in March.

"It was impossible for the player, even when exercising the utmost caution, to know that in kissing a woman who he had met in a totally unsuspicious environment, he could be contaminated with cocaine," the court said in a statement

Apparently you can choose to remain anonymous while it's investigated. I would suggest that some one has leaked and that is why the Saints and Saad are not answering questions. He might get a nice pay out if they don't.

Seriously it sounds like Saad has taken a one off while Essendon ran a program and the AFL including the boss has been cheerleading for a scrapping of penalties despite the Bomber players signing waivers and injecting off sight.

If this doesn't sound f%$# up justice I don't know what does. Essendon players hundreds of injections of unknown substances and Saad has one dose and he's cooked for 2 years.

And your basis for this is?

Normally it takes two players for Club punishments.

Or are you just taking the p** as you think the test was after our last win.

Have you heard the penalties already and you do realise the initial penalties are set by WADA not the AFL. Also we as a club wont get punished but i reckon Essendon will so they are in a lost more crap than our club. It is simple to not get in trouble. Dont buy stuff over the counter unless you know its 100% safe.

Mate it was a joke because he hasnt played in a winning side since the test if the dates given are right. Of course we wont lose points. I reckon St Luke was taking the piss as well.
