Yes but injury is the reason why he is out now.
I would think most players come through a feeder club/league at some stage.
I wonder if any other clubs are looking at McAsey?

Any interstate highly touted kid not getting a consistent game would be looked at
Battle would be getting seriously looked at by other clubs

Battle is 193cm, has a huge aerobic ability, a hard edge, he's 23 in September, has a contract til next year and has played 40 games in just about every position on the ground, other than true midfield. His profile wreaks of tradebait, very similar to Acres.

I admit I've never seen him play but on paper he looks like he's worth inquiring about. My question is, when would he be ready? Not sure we should invest much in a trade to get him if he's a few years off

I thought Essendon were now favourites to get Ben King, if he leaves QLD, and we were making a play for Jake Riccardi.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
