Any idea why ?

I assume Geary also didn't participate. I seem to recall he won it (or at least finished top 3) for quite a number of years in a row.

Life is never more fun than when you're the underdog competing against the giants.

He certainly has the tank for it.

He's getting 13 possessions playing mainly as a forward with 67% game time ... what would 85% game time around the midfield/wing deliver?
I'm expecting that to translate to 20 possessions, plus.

Hind found his position (well done by Essendon) - maybe midfield time would suit Mason Wood?
Dunno, I think Wood looks a lot more like a forward than a wing or midfield type.

Am I incorrect in thinking he was spending more time up the ground when he got hurt?

I think the young guys did a time trial last week. Apparently Alison won.

And Hind looked more like an an inconsistent small forward to us, while
Battle was tracking beautifully at CHB ....

Did one before this season. Not sure what you suggesting.
2020/21 time trial was not done pre Christmas break as i remember them talking about it and confirmed when you look at comparisons they use the equivalent trial from January 2021. old ground but poor pre season 2021 resulted in the poor start to the season - learnt from mistakes which is good
