We will beat Brissy now after their punishing game today. They have a 6 day break after coming back from WA, so if we play at our best we should get the points.

This is the best scenario for playing a top 4 team, after they've had a short week, one less day to recover, and we've had a bye.
If we can't beat the Lions this way, we're not as good as we should be.

To quote the nature boy Rick flair to be the best you have to beat the best. I think we will hold our spot for the most part. We will lose the odd game but as this weekend just showed, so will other teams. We have a few big ins coming back in the second half of this year. Steele Clark billings hanners😂

Cats now 4th.
We're 5th.
We play Lions, Cats have a bye, then play WCE.
Potentially, we may slip again.
Ohhh dear
Can someone do the Ladder Predictor for Round 14
After Lions win, and Cats win
Geelong play Nth AND WC twice to our once.. thats a free 8 points extra.. We have a tough draw but i guess if we're to do well wlit doesn't matter who we play..
Ohh.....
One poster on here has called the 'fixture' a 'FIXture' as it seems fixed
Think I'm the FIXture guy - guilty as charged.

I'd like to see/hear any rational, clear thinking person mount an argument that the twaddle puts out is anything but a fix. It's certainly not a draw. The playing calendar so heavily compromised it's a joke. I mean - Geelong (& the Dullbogs) both play North and WCE twice. In a tight season - those 2 extra wins alone are enough to get a team from 8th to 4th.

And then there's derbies, showdowns, dreamtimes, Anzac Eve/Day, Carl/Coll twice etc.

The whole sh1tshow is about maximising crowds and TV viewers.

That’s how they used to do the ladder in the 90s when there was a weekly bye.
