No worries, it has truly been a bizarre little episode.

A bit of advice, next time you try to convince someone to do what you want, at least come with some reasoning that is slightly logical at worst.

Move suggests AFL agrees umpiring is not good enough (refer Prof. Curley's various papers on this). Makes me wonder, where is the extra talent coming from, are we going to pay enough so they can be full time professionals (say, transfer money from legal and try not to have to run so many inquiries and court cases?), will we have set groupings of maggg I mean umps, and how do you stop over officiating or chaos when they start over ruling.

At least they are not talking VAR. Yet. Of course constant stoppages would mean more gambling adverts revenue - yes there could be even more. Hey, how about that, gambling on umpiring decisions, how many frees, where, when, what could go wrong.
