Shniderman has been good for us but he did something very stupid in round 21 last year that may have cost us the flag.

Obviously Schneider is on what the CLub thinks he is worth - whatever that is?
Do you know how much, I don'. I don't think I've ever seen it made public.
Yes, they get paid to the value that the club expects them perform to.

The Salary Cap system. I've mentioned that in almost every post.

I'm talking about whether a number of key players at St Kilda have performed up to the club valuation.

It's a club and player problem if they don't.

What about Lenny?
WHat about Roo?
What about Dal,
How about the 100-150k that Zac is getting? SHould he get more/less?
You wouldn't question Lenny or BJ as top earners IMO.

But, in matches that matter, Riewoldt & Dal Santo are suspect. They would be on top coin at our club. Schneider would be the same IMO (Pick 26 forced out by SC problems at Sydney)
Mr Magic wrote:The Club obviously decided that Luke Ball wasn't worth the 500-600 he wanted adn wouldn't budge over the 350k they offered.
Now they're being castigated on here for not offering him enough and showing through his salary offer how much they 'really' wanted him.?
Stick to the subject. I have stated that losing LB and losing the essendon player is an opportunity.
Mr Magic wrote:You make the statements about his 'large' slary but what are the facts?
Maybe he's earning less than whta he should be on?

And btw, we got him + Dempster for pick 26.
Schneider would be the same (Pick 26 - already stated above - forced out by SC problems at Sydney)

Mr Magic wrote:IMO, he's not the reason (sole or major) we lost last Saturday.
I'm not sure why you've taken such a negative view of him, above all others?
Read the whole thread. I even went to the trouble of copying in stuff from another thread to show that I'm not just talking about Schneider.

Roo and Dal Santo are bigger culprits IMO.

RL has an opportunity to win us a flag in 2011/12. But he must make some massive decisions.

And before you jump on the easy 'Should he sack Roo?'... he can make personnel changes - coaching and players - and make tactical decisions.

In 2009 our captain sent all other forwards out of the 50.

To be the hero.

Despite barely getting a kick.

Kosi went into the ruck/loose man in defence.

Affter having no influence Scarlett followed.

Scarlett. Toe poke. Ablett. Goal.

My goodness, you've been holding that in for 12 months?
You have such a poor opinion of our Captain?
He is undoubtedly the highest paid player at our Club.
And the best (IMO - an opinion seemingly shared by many)

Would you think that there was any in the 15 other CLubs who wouldn't pay him the same if they had the Salary Cap room to recruit him?

I don't and that would then mean that every other CLub values him as highly as St Kilda - is everybody wrong?

As for the selfishness you ascribe to him, just where on earth did you get that from?
ESP?
AFAIC he is the consumate team player - always doing the team thing.
