i wonder how robert harvey now looks at the Saints.

Her is at collingwood learning from Buckley to then become a head coach.

wouldn't you think that he would have some regrets not being part of the innovations that the Saints are up to????????

when I first heard of the acadamy I though such a shame he didn't see it as an option- he would be ideal involved in teaching the young players.
maybe it will be a case of sliding doors.

He would have been. I just didn't understand why he left. It does not worry me that he was one of our favourite players, and left.

He says he left to learn more at another club. And what does he learn at collingwood? Compare that to what he could have learnt from the saints, being part of the academy, learning how to teach, etc

Not sure about Banger as a teacher .
Some people can articulate what it takes to achieve greatness, others can only show by example.
I suspect he may belong to the second group.

Riewoldt and Goddard to live up to their reputations ,Clarke and Ray to defy theirs in 2012!

similiar thinking for me- especially given Buckley in affect has a very young coaching team- with Eade- but still new team..
Collingwood processes maybe in admin etc to be learnt from..

I'm quietly (very) confident that it won't be too long before Ro$$y starts wondering similarly.

I'm impressed.

Watching the development of the new model in place at the club will be intriguing. This could be the initiative that lands us our second premiership a few years down the track.

Equally as intriguing will be to see who is appointed as Academy Director. I, for one, fervently hope they give Grant Thomas the job.

not
