Defacto you need to get you facts correct The WCE alignment was only for their non WA based players.. Their grandfinal team consisted of the following

Backs: Andrew Waller David Antonowicz Jeremy Barnard (C)
Half Backs: David Swan Aaron Marley Grant Holman
Centres: Andrew Worland Rod Wheatley Callum Chambers
Half Forwards: David Haynes Shane Nani Paul Ridley
Forwards: Ashley Hutchinson Troy Wilson Kane Munro
Ruck: Dean Cox Devan Perry Josh Wooden
Interchange: Travis Knights Kane Marsh Troy Butcher
  Michael O'Brien

Not exactly an AFL list as you say ... The reason he has been out of AFL ranks is more to do with family situations ... But you can tell storys about gifted grand finals if you like

players bolded were ex afl or current afl. hardly local. what made it more disgusting was players like wooden were forced to move from subi to east perth. could go on about ridley.

the alignment stank. everyone knew it stank. thats why it was abolished.

so remind me again what involvement has this bloke had in the last 5 years with an afl club? blokes past it.

Again facts obviously are not your strong point ... In 2000 Dean cox was not on an AFL list (rookie list in 2001) Cox was always going to be a East Perth player being zoned from Dampier ... Troy Wilson also was not a AFL listed player until 2001 he crossed over to East Perth after playing for West Perth because East Perth were willing to play him as a forward and also allow him to continue racing speedway .. Chambers was drafted in 2000 from gippsland and as stated before as part on the alignment all non WA players were linked to East Perth as was Haynes ... Obrien played 2 games for WCE ....

As stated Tony had some family issues that was the big factor in him leaving the WCE his non involvement in AFL was more to do with the fact he was home more regularly as a WAFL coach then anything else ... But again you can make up stuff about the bloke being "past it" if you want but it is very very wrong

Dean cox was drafted in the 1999 rookie draft. Was listed by the time he played in the 2000 WAFL grand final.

So that only leaves Wilson off that list. The rest i mentioned remained on east perths list and were AFL listed players. I still don't see any difference. Back then the fitness of WAFL listed players compare to AFL listed players was huge. Having that many AFL listed players was a huge advantage. It wasn't until German came in at subi, did the WAFL step it up a notch and start to close the gap.

I hear Ayres is coaching still why don't we offer him a job as well?

Cox was taken pick 28 in the 1999 rookie draft.
After Milne who was 23, Shane Tuck 24, and Dean Brogan 26.

Pick 28 in the 2001 rookie draft was... Jaxon Crabb. Selected by Port.

Cox was elevated in the 2001 draft.

But then again when he was rookied the Eagles where unsure on him due to unco-ordination. It was only in the 2000 year where he stamped himself in the WAFL as a 19 year old ruckman.

My bad ... Can never trust wiki !!! Point being though Cox was always destined for East Perth Regardless of being drafted by WCE ...
