If Roo has two more years left in him, I'd go for Arryn Siposs. This boy will be a superstar.

I'd also like to see a combo of Dal/dempster as co captains till one of Benny Mac, Sippa or Simpkin are ready in 2-5 years time.

I hope so! Doesn't strike me as having the personality to be captain yet though. Not necessarily the hardest worker (as far as I can tell) or the most confident in his own ability. He not the over hype type though so he must genuinely rate him. He usually calls all the Sandy players spuds so he must think Siposs has something pretty special about him. On the evidence so far he looks the most likely of anyone drafted during Lyons reign to be a superstar. I think he should get even better now Goddard has left a hole for him. I think the club was pretty happy to let goddard go knowing they had a younger harder version coming through without the pay check.

I think co-captains would be best fit at this stage. They could be rotated for a few years to bring the younger guys up to afl leadership quality.

I called it on some post now hidden under the sands of time from earlier this year. From memory, I didn't quite use the phrase 'superstar', think I wrote something like... "will be a match winner"... along with Rhys, once Rhys also realises this.
I'm also looking forward to Tom Lee tearing it up on the forward line, and confident that Tom Hickey will turn out to be well worth the high draft pick.

Would hate to see co-captains again! Don't like the concept! Leadership groups are good but one skipper is still needed IMO, players vote these days I think!
