Not me...I know crap when I smell it...and when I see it , and tonight I did both..... [/quote]
Bran tends to do that for me too at my age
I'm sure that everyone has a right to an opinion. folk are entitled to be annoyed with the result tonight and the manner in which we gave the game away. However, the original poster also has the right to point out his view (that I share) on the willingness of many to put us down to be bottom 3 material (or worse) It stands to reason that the GC are not going to be "easybeats" forever and a day and tonight they played well! We didn't at vital stages and paid the penalty. Simple as that.

People are calling for the coaches head, the players heads, calling the season is over.
Before this game everyone was saying that everyone was underrating us!
Make no mistake that the Suns are only going to keep getting better.
And Ablett is an absolute gun!
Yes a few players were down, ITS ROUND BLOODY ONE!
I am disgusted at how quickly you all are to jump off.
Forget the numpties calling for your head Jake, you are spot on.
Australia...... Live it like we stole it....... Because we did.
Well I'm going to wait a few weeks before panicking. Everyone has a bad game and occasionally the majority of the team seem to coincide with one another.
This may be one of those times.
Thought it was a shocking game myself, first game rust and a slippery ball; but GC appear more competitive. In the end Ablett was the difference between the teams.

I agree, take it easy all, it's only round one. no point ditching the baby with the bath water just yet.
The problem is that a performance as dire as that has repercussions.
A lot of people wait to see how the team looks before deciding whether they will sign up for the year.
After seeing that we can expect a reasonable number to decide no not this year, I will wait until we are a bit better.
And before you say we don't need fair weather supporters, in our financial position we need every supporter we can get.
The club needs to make a call, the supporters need something to hold onto.
If the club believe that that performance was just an aberration then fair enough, keep going and expect to improve. However, if the writing is truly on the wall and we are going into a slide to the bottom of the ladder for a few years then start playing more of the kids. To gain members you either need to build excitement for now or for the future. Just plugging along saying we are not that bad gets us nowhere.
